I'll be honest. Even though this should have been a slam dunk, the stress level for everyone associated with Liberty was been off the charts waiting out this brutally long selection show.

But I am thrilled to see the committee looked beyond ESPN constantly talking about us having the 133th-ranked strength fo schedule and looked at what actually happened in the games.

I'm shocked. The AP and coaches poll having SMU one spot ahead made me think it was SMU. I thought Liberty would be vs. Missouri or Penn State. But CUSA getting the G5 bid is absolutely awesome for everyone!

Congrats Liberty. This does help to put CUSA on the path of relevance for sure. Last year CUSA got throttled by realignment and many of us knew that the addition of Liberty was huge! The Ducks are pretty darn good, but they put their pants on one leg at a time, like most of the rest of us, so....Go Flames!

I don’t think so. New Mexico State winning was critical for Liberty and also the conference.

You guys did us a huge favor! Boo mentioned our wins against you guys. What was also interesting was the fact he brought up the P5’s that bought our contracts out when we moved to the CUSA.

From what I’ve been seeing, everyone is expecting Nix and a few of their other players are going to sit out and prepare for the draft. We can win this game, just need our defense to be well prepared. I’m not worried about our offense.
