It may not be good football, but it is entertaining.

But 1997 Miami beat 1997 Marshall by 21 points.

Miami may have saved Toledo their head coach. If he won back-to-back titles and had his team ranked in the top 20-25 he is probably getting plucked away.

Did the win by Miami of Ohio cost the MAC money payoffs from Bowl games with #23 ranked Toledo losing?

I don’t think Toledo was making the NY6 regardless.

Not a chance. Liberty was ranked already and won the CUSA. If Tulane wins they get it one of those two we’re going to get it as long as they won

Tulane lost, certainly another lost opportunity.

RE: MACC - Miami vs Toledo
Both teams that might get the NY6 G5 spot don't have a single P5 win between the two.

Liberty didn't even play one.
SMU played two and got waxed in both, including to the 10th best big12 team.

Liberty plays no defense and is likely going to have a hard time vs a team like Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, etc.

SMU has already shown it can't compete vs P5 and even playing two P5 teams their schedule was ranked 121st. They only have two wins over teams with winning records.

Plain and simply: No.

Although the outcome probably wouldn't change, couldn't help but think coach Kill and New Mexico State had way too many horrendous calls go in Liberty's favor. But then I realized those were C-USA officials, the same bunch that screwed up our bowl game with Coastal Carolina.

RE: MACC - Miami vs Toledo
Georgia losing yesterday really fvcks up the NY6 Bowls. If the committee does the right thing...neither Georgia nor Alabama will be in the playoffs meaning both teams will drop into the NY6 Bowls meaning...a team like Missouri (#9) probably gets bumped out of the NY6 Bowls.
