Are they going to call the B1G games on CBS next year?

Unless they move to ABC/ESPN, I assume so.

Ironically Gary Danielson is a Purdue graduate while Brad Nessler graduated from Mankato State University in Minnesota, Big Ten country. Maybe Brad and Gary will be comfortable with the Big Ten and won't find it beneath them.

Really enjoy theses two broadcasters.

Yes, Brad and Gary are both from Big Ten country. Brad has lived in Atlanta for a long time, though. Brad and Gary's first partnership was actually calling Big Ten 11 am games in the 90's and 2000's for ESPN. Brad later called SEC Tuesday night basketball games with the likes of Dick Vitale.

Brad is fine. I don't have a huge issue with Gary, but only because I don't pay much attention to him. Hard-core SEC fans have a beef with him, especially those that are not fans of Alabama. His reputation is that of one that kisses up to the Tide.

Gary Danielson kisses up to the team on top. Before Alabama he gushed over Tim Tebow and Florida.

I’m exaggerating. SEC fans love to diss on them but I will miss hearing their voices for Saturday afternoon SEC games.

Sankey recognized CBS with a shoutout and Bama fans booed. Lol. 26 years is a long time. SEC fans certainly have opinions.

Personally, I'd like to have an OU-Texas game at 2:30 from the Cotton Bowl on CBS, but that's not to be.

I absolutely loved how CBS started the telecast tonight with Uncle Verne on there.

Hey if CBS can do for the Big Ten what they did for the SEC, we'll be happy:)

Exactly. CBS doesn’t get first pick of the Big Ten games and will going head-to-head with the new SEC on ABC in the same afternoon time slot.

I was just reading this Ross Dellenger article about it all. I didn’t recall all of these details from the past or the recent negotiations.

FOX? Ha! We were supposed to get the Big Nooner slot this year. In 13 weeks, only seven weeks was the Big Nooner hosted by a Big Ten team. By contrast NBC only preempted us for Notre Dame in prime time twice. Who's CBS going to preempt us for at 3:30pm, the MWC? In 2024, we know we'll be on CBS every week. We don't know we'll be on FOX or NBC every week. FOX could just dump us to FS1 if they want. NBC can put us on Peacock. We will be CBS's first priority. FOX? Nothing stopping them from showing the Big 12 over us and they aired the Big 12 in the Big Nooner four times in 2023. What's stopping them from doing it again in 2024?

Whatever matchups Fox wants, they're going to get. CBS got all the top SEC games. That's not happening with them and the Big Ten. That's the big difference.
