Big 12 and WWE
https://www.espn.com/wwe/story/_/id/3899...dia-record

This article is about the huge buzz around the return of CM Punk, yet, at the end of it, the Big 12 gets a free plug. I'll admit, I was pretty skeptical of the co branding event idea, and I moved on from wrestling about 30 years ago, but this is looking like a smart move for a demographic that loves both CFB and WWE.

RE: Big 12 and WWE
Mainstreaming UFC (once illegal in some states) was very profitable for Endeavor and the same holds true for WWE, which is why these cross-branding efforts make sense. Wrestling is a much better TV product than 30 years ago (more athletic, less cartoonish) and the Internet has eviscerated the secrets that used to be a big part of the business. Like an action movie, fans know how it's going to end but are there for the ride.

It helps that there’s a traitor heel in the main event

I think the partnership with the WWE is a savvy move. It's extra money out of thin air for the Big XII and greater exposure for the Big XII if there is cross-promotion of Big XII games during WWE programming.

re: CM Punk

He's a good wrestler and great on the mic. I'm glad he's back on WWE and away from the second-tier outlaw promotion that is AEW. Hopefully Wardlow, MJF and a few others (Eddie Kingston, Edge) leave AEW and join him soon in WWE.
