RE: Indiana state game
Brcic is relying on his strength now. Needs to be more aggressive going after boards and just jumping more. He’s a great leaper but rarely leaves the ground. Takes time to learn when to play under control and when to be a little reckless.

RE: Indiana state game
I don't know his background (Brcic), only going by what I see in his body and play. He looks raw, maybe to the point of a project, but I like his body and demeanor. I don't think he is the answer to the 5 slot (at least not this year), which I think is our Achilles heel, but he can maybe help. I hope they keep giving him playing time to see what he has, but at the same time, he has to quit getting so many fouls. Someone can correct me, but I think he got into foul trouble early in most of the games. He needs playing time.
I'm guessing many of the young guys are not used the speed of the college game, as east said. It might be a bumpy ride with the schedule we have, but in the big picture, well worth it. Going 10 deep, not depending on chucking up 3s (down 5 or 6 as game from last year), some beef inside (and outside), and maybe the most athletic team they have had in a while. Juniors and Freshmen. Hate to say it but, the future looks bright if this isn't the year.
How far they get this year is on them and the coaching staff. Git r done! This can be a good team by the end of the year IMO. Good enough to get us places we haven't been in... never mind.

I don't think a tall needs a jump to get a rebound or that it's all that desired. Their advantage is the opposite, to get the rebound with superior position and because they're tall and on the ground, they'll be set for a quick outlet or the put-back. It's the put-back where the leap might come in handy but more likely, you're going for a quick short jump, not a big time consuming knee bender.
I think if he concentrates on learning the fundamentals of the faster college game, he'll be a contributor this year. Get really good at a few things instead of just mediocre in a lot. Coach can pick and choose when his developed strengths are needed. Much like Moss. Four year project, develop new skills every year.

Absolutely. No secret how we've watch player develop over their 4 years. There is no substitute for playing time. You never know what a guy can do unless they get the chance. Minutes. When you only go 7 deep, can't do that. If there were ever a year, this would be one to do just that. Invest in the future. This is all or nothing anyway.
