Hired the AD from Northern Iowa (yes, suspiciously the same place our outgoing AD came from). What are his qualifications? We're not sure. The guy hasn't hired either a football or basketball coach in his tenure. And no it's not because the programs have been good. Football has gone 51-42 in his time. Basketball hasn't made the Big Dance since he arrived.

UNI fans tell us he has completely failed in fundraising and facility building as well.

I'm gonna enjoy every second of football we have left this year. It might be the last athletics success we will have for some time.

Just one factor, but UNI basketball hasn't made the tourney since 2016, three months after this guy replaced Dannen. Their coach has been there 15 years, so clearly this AD screwed up by not kicking the coach to the curb at least a year or two ago.

Jesus Christ, get a grip dude.

This.

Having a take as dire and definite as this when the guy hasn't even had an introductory press conference yet is just wild to me. And reading THAT much into the hire (that this is somehow a sign of cronyism when he's an outside hire with no Tulane connections?) is just making assumptions to prove something you already believe to be true. Step away from the ledge.

Gonna disagree a little here and it seems i am doing that a lot. But if my NFL traded for Zac Wilson i would definitely be concerned and bring up his past inabilities to get an offensive unit in the endzone. Just saying.

After checking around with various people the past couple days, I admit that the more I learn about David Harris, the more I like him. But his hiring is a still a mixed-bag to me. He was at UNI for 7 years. What is his biggest accomplishment there?

A very curious hire but Tulane will be fine. All ADs want to keep moving up and in order to do that, they have to succeed at their previous job. This guy knows he has to succeed at Tulane or he will end up back at a junior College getting paid in Olive Garden coupons.

I’m laughing, but afraid it might be true.
