RE: Weekly Press Conference
If you’re set on this staff, you better start recruiting AAC type talent and not FCS talent. You need to recruit well enough that guys like Goode, Rowell, Sorrells aren’t on the field ever again
Probably going to be a shootout in Denton

You can forget any idea of Sione being replaced. Ain't happening. I'm not sure the entire staff is safe, but he's not going anywhere.

I appreciate the respect shown to redshirting freshmen. Some of them should’ve been playing more out the gate, but the year is gone and they can still play 4 of 4.
Will hurt us this weekend, not having them.

I never thought Sione would be replaced . I’ve said all along they have to be allowed time to learn and adjust. We will see what he’s made of next year, and if Dilfer may bring some extra help in there.
I’ve also been saying we should redshirt as many of the freshmen as we can. If they haven’t been playing all year, there is no point in burning a redshirt for what is a meaningless game now. These guys have gotten valuable experience, and hopefully we can watch them grow and play for four more years now.

I don't think Dilfer should make any big staff changes afrer one year. Maybe a few tweaks but these guys deserve another season to really be given a fair shot.

Agreed. HCTD has poured too much praise on Sione to give up on him at this point. Not happening!

Only one I’d hope is gone is the ST coach..
I begrudgingly agree - you have to give Sione another year. The defense has improved significantly the last part of the season.
With how dilfer talked about him, he will probably be given 3 years at a minimum, no matter how bad the defense was (hypothetically speaking)

RE: Weekly Press Conference
As I've mentioned before, the defensive effort through the first three quarters of Navy and Temple won't look like an A+ to us under Clark and Reaves, but this would be an A+ for the Dilfer scheme. He can live with a defense that can give up 31ppg if he expects 40ppg offensively.
