I don’t think anything is missing so much as they ran into an experienced team that plays a different style of football than the teams they normally stomp. And they turned it over 5 times.

Ok...so they can't hold on to the ball then. They're experienced too. There has to be something else. They beat a bunch of bad teams just like Memphis.

They played a bad game. Hard to win with so many turnovers. Then again, the team tends to get turnover happy in big marquee match-ups where there's a clear step up in competition (Troy last yr, Houston and Tulane this year). They also did the same at Memphis in '21 when they dug themselves a huge hole but managed to come back.

They didn't manage to come back. Memphis managed to put their foot on the breaks trying to save their players for the next game because they thought you weren't very good. Memphis has a bad coach.
edit: Our one chance for Silverfield to beat a team with a winning record. lol
You don't give up a 21-0 lead at home if you have a good coaching staff.

@Rowdy’s Castle, are you in Canada? Your avatar looks like their flag with the UTSA logo in place of the maple leaf.

Too soon to say, but I think probably yes for both Traylor and Fritz.
Traylor is 55, and is still a prime target for certain programs, but the places where he would be a best fit (imho) aren’t looking.
Fritz is 63 and may be viewed as a little past his sell-by date by some people. Also, he has never spent any of his career as a player or as a coach at a P5 program. Tulane is the most big-time place he’s ever been. And while I don’t know exactly what he’s making, I assume it’s the highest pay outside of the P5. Which doesn’t mean he can’t be poached, it just means it would take a lot of $$$ to do it.
We’ll see.

BC is beautiful, as is most of the rest of the country. Glad you had a great experience.

Fritz worked his way up through the ranks, is s genuinely nice person, is well liked in New Orleans, makes good money, goes to work at anice beautiful low key place, and can lose s game without people losing their minds. He should ride it out at Tulane.
Nice crowd at Yulman when most of the students were probably yachting or skiing.
