Imagine if this wasn't the year for Chaminade to be in the tourney. Imagine adding a good MWC or AAC team in their place.

The Battle 4 Atlantis features Arkansas, Michigan, Memphis, North Carolina, Northern Iowa, Stanford, Texas Tech and Villanova.

That group compares favorably to the eight programs participating in the Maui event. Two strong tournaments.

Not really. Maui has like 4 top 2 seeds projected right now, plus Gonzaga. I don't know that Atlantis has 4 tourney teams projected right now.

Unfortunate scheduling to have Marquette/UCLA is the late game (11:30 PM ET), with Kansas/Chaminade in the prime time (8:00 PM ET) slot. Looks like I'm not getting any sleep tonight.

I was referencing long-standing program quality/history — and not how good the teams are this specific season. My fumble for the lack of clarity.

The worst thing that can happen is you get blown out. But I’m a firm believer that iron sharpens iron. Which is why I’m stoked to see UH finally get to run the gauntlet that is the big 12. We’re gonna lose way more games but we’ll be better for it.

Nice win for Bradley over Tulane 80-77 and the SoCon Challenge. Braves are now 4-0 to start the year. They were picked 3rd in the MVC poll preseason behind Drake and Northern Iowa.

Including your conference schedule, per Torvik, your SOS is around #179. Hate to be the barer of bad news, but that's not sharpening with iron.

I mean we were no worse than the 2nd best team in the field. Typically if you go 2-1 in the Maui you should net at least 1 quad 1 win and quad 2 win. Pretty sure we came out with a quad 2 and quad 3 win. Pretty disappointing.
