Being in conference with UTEP has to help, with everything. Not knowing what will happen with the PAC2 and the MW, if they could also be in conference with NM and UTEP, they would have to call the the absolute best case for them, financially.

My school’s never shared a conference with NMSU, and I don’t even recall ever playing them in anything. I did, however once work a summer camp with their then-incoming dance team coach, and that won me over.

For what it's worth the Idaho Vandals are doing pretty well for themselves too back down in the FCS as well, with a top seed in the playoffs and an 8-2 record. Glad they were able to find their niche too.
