It appeared there are more problems at La Tech than just the DC.

This was the first game I've attended in person at Jax State since I moved from the area a decade ago.

At first, I thought Jax State was just playing lights-out ball. But by the second half, it was obvious La Tech wasn't even trying. We were just trying to run down the clock and kept breaking free. Rich Rod was practically having to plead with his players not to score when they had yards of open field in front of them.

I hope the Bulldogs can fix whatever is ailing that program. The fans in Ruston deserve more. Hope any of you who traveled to Jacksonville at least enjoyed the rest of your trip.

The defense was the strength of the team if it had one. Can't fire the OC because he is the head coach. That is a face saving move to buy more time.

The team lost to NMSU by 3. WKU by 7 and MTSU by 7. Gave up 28 points to Nebraska all with players nobody else wanted. Pure stupidity.

Oh just wait until the portal opens in a couple weeks. Every ounce of talent is going to be drained from the program. The locker room is in complete turmoil. I expect we have guys that will transfer out knowing they’ll only get FCS offers.

We have a new university president starting next month. Cumbie’s buyout drops significantly next year. We stop paying Holtz’ buyout next year.

We are essentially forfeiting the 2024 season and the new president will clean house next offseason. Next year is going to be miserable for Bulldog fans.

Agree with the others - lots of respect to Jax State, but also Liberty and NM State. You've absolutely elevated the state of play in this league. While our results were pretty pathetic, as a Tech fan I did enjoy playing a round robin football schedule this year and was thrilled with the new media deal and the exposure that brought the league.

Can only hope for improvement next season.

A round robin has been great at the end you know you place.
1 2 3 last whatever it is you know.
I also liked playing in a competitive group where no game was a gimme. No one knew the la tech game would be so lopsided and I suspect it was due to some inner turmoil at tech.

Exactly. With the last iteration of CUSA with 14 teams in divisions there were teams we basically never played - Old Dominion, Charlotte, etc. Glad that's done.
