Wasn't watching, but Toledo had a great finish. Down to Bowling Green 28-10 at the half and 28-17 after 3, they scored a TD on a 4th and 2 from midfield in the final 2 minutes to win 32-31 and avoid their 2nd loss.

Meanwhile NIU won 24-0 over WMU in a bowl elimination game. WMU now has 7 losses. NIU can still get a 6th win. EMU won 30-27 in OT over Akron to move to 5-6 and keep their bowl hopes alive.

So far November hasn't had a lot of surprises.

I was VERY surprised that after giving up a boatload of points to CMU (in the snow, no less) and losing, and then shooting ourselves in the foot against Ball State, that NIU held WMU under 30 points, much less getting a shut out. They have to be one of the most inconsistent teams in FBS.

As an Ohio native, I'm very familiar with the Battle of I-75 [BGSU vs Toledo]. That was a heckuva game and one that Bowling Green should've closed out. Credit to the Rockets for a tough, come from behind win on the road. Toledo has had a very consistent, winning program in the MAC for a long time. Credit to them.

It will be a Toledo-Miami rematch.
CUSA will be a Liberty-New Mexico St. rematch.
SEC will be a Georgia-Alabama rerun.
FSU is in the ACC CCG, but opponent not yet settled.

Pac 12, Big 12, Big 10, AAC and MWC are unsettled.

Every year I love the color-on-color jerseys in SoCal.

JMU converts a 4th and 18, then scores a TD adds a 2 pt conversion to tie the game at 20. What a wild atmosphere in Harrisonburg!

Could not believe App State dropped easy INT to win the game. JMU ties it, but App. State. wins in over. JMU may have gotten their. Gameday with ESPN, but their NY6 is gone, undefeated record gone, best team in Virginia gone, and now Sun Belt East title still up for grabs, even though JMU can't really win it.

It's been a really fun day so far. Miami - Louisville, Maryland - Michigan, Harvard - Yale, Memphis - SMU, Oklahoma - BYU, all close and fun games to start the day.
