Penn followed their Nova win with a loss to Maryland-Eastern Shore. That’s quite a change of results against teams of vastly different levels.

Almost a just a rough day all around for the Philly teams with this one and Penn. LaSalle barely squeaks by USI.

Jackson St out of the SWAC with a huge upset over Missouri 73-72 in battle of the Tigers. That is the first win of the season for JSU as well.

I saw Jackson State play Memphis (on TV) and saw lots about the team that impressed me. JSU is much better than many on this board might realize. The same can be said for Presbyterian and UNC-Greensboro (which topped Arkansas). Those are three quality teams that could beat just about anybody.

Hugely impressed with the Flames all around last weekend having watched all 3 of their games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational. I can see now why in their first season as a CUSA member they were picked to win it. Kyle Rode ended up winning the MBI Tournament MVP.

Liberty go to Boca Raton to take on FAU in Thursday. That has the makings of a great game.
