Solid win Houston. UNCG is playing #14 Arkansas tough in the second half up nine.

UNC-Greensboro takes down #14 Arky on their home court. I live near UNCG so I can't help but root for them.

They hit their threes and we couldn't.

Yep. Razorbacks shot 4/23 [17.4%] from treyland. Also, the Southern Conference is a pretty solid basketball league.

Yes! But were they also illegally filmed taking instructions from the bench?

Two great nights for K-State hoops!
Last night the women went into Iowa City and took down the #2 ranked Hawkeyes.
Tonight the men beat Providence 73-70 in OT in a feisty battle in the Bahamas.

Vermont-Liberty is going to be an interesting one. Any shot the winner winds up ranked soon?

A-10 performance looked familiar to last year. 3-5 for the day with Saint Joe’s and Davidson losing games they probably shouldn’t have.

Not so fast my friend! Ole Miss hangs on and Florida takes down FSU. Assuming Zona wins tonight, remaining undefeateds from the P6...

If Liberty can stay undefeated through November they might pick up a little momentum in the polls with a win @FAU. But their schedules pretty soft so they might have to make it through December unscathed to crack the T-25. They play Bama at the end of December so that would be a legit win. Not sure how realistic that is.

Vermont's schedule is even softer so they'd probably at least need to win out through December. So that'd be 10 more games. The only game they have against a major conference team is VT so they just have many opportunities to move the needle. Fair amount of respectable mid-majors (Colgate, Yale, Toledo, etc) but unless one or multiple of those teams are having really great seasons (like T-25 good) winning those kind of games don't typically generate much momentum in the polls.

10 B12
8 ACC
6 P12, SEC
5 B1G
4 BE

Records for each:
Big 12: 43-6 (88%)
Pac 12: 33-7 (83%)
ACC: 42-9 (82%)
SEC: 44-10 (81%)
Big Ten: 38-13 (75%)
Big East: 27-12 (69%)

Records adjusted for 2024 realignment:
Big 12: 47-8 (85%)
SEC: 51-10 (84%)
ACC: 50-14 (78%)
Big Ten: 49-15 (77%)
Big East: No Change (69%)

Lot of media hype coming into the year about the Big East being the top league in the country this year. I didn't really question that before the season started because I felt like they were the best league last year but they have not had a very good start to the year. I still think their top 3-4 programs can match up with anyone but I don't think the league is as deep as the Big 12/ACC. Still early obviously but the early returns have been a little disappointing.

Edit: updated after the final games of the night

They better not drop more than 1 more game the rest of non-conference or they may not have the opportunities to big an at-large resume. They're already down to quality win opportunities because of BYU's departure. They've got a sneaky tough slate coming up with Davidson, Utah, and Boise. They could use 3 wins.
