No mention of the Champions Classic? Duke takes down Michigan St, and Kansas, after starting 9-0 against Kentucky, falls behind by as many as 14 in the 2nd half, then comes back to win by 5, the victory sealed by a freshman Jamari McDowell calmly sinking two free throws with 5.4 seconds left.

Wild game. Both teams showed some great defense, but didn't get to watch the whole thing.

I saw a little bit and the announcers noted Kentucky was missing two key big men.

Your Wildcats will be strong this year, bullet.

Fun opening day at the Myrtle Beach Invitational. Vermont who were down double digits in the first half had a huge turnaround in the final quarter with 31 points in the last 9 minutes to take down College of Charleston 73-64. 10 made threes in the 2nd half for UVM.

Liberty looked incredibly impressive in the night cap against Furman winning 88-74. Flames a very balanced team. Were down down 6 late in the first half before they closed out on 11-0 run and never looked back from there with 50 points after the break. Furman tried to throw different presses but it backfired in a big way. Semifinal set for tomorrow.

Vermont v Saint Louis
Wichita St v Liberty

Vermont vs. SLU is a sneaky good/fun game.

Today's another big day for the A10, in addition to SLU taking on the always good/respectable UVM we have:

Dayton vs. St. John's
Bona vs. Auburn
UMass vs. Harvard

There are other games as well, but hopefully those will be simpler ones for the conference.

Does Amaker have another good team in Cambridge?

It's hard to tell at this point in the season, but so far they're 3-0 and cruised past Northeastern and Rice on the way.

Their leading scorer so far is a Freshman, they have another Freshman who is producing acting kind of as a 6th man right now, and their second leading scorer is a Sophomore who looks to have taken a pretty good step forward between seasons.

I'd expect them to be very competitive in the Ivy at least this year. A big issue we'd have is that they're probably the best in-state rival we have at this point, and the games are being played as such.

A gritty win for Montana St and first year D1 head coach Matt Logie at Cal last night 63-60.

They might perform better than where they were picked to finish (6th) preseason in the Ivy but I don't see them competing at the top with Yale and Princeton.

I doubt they'll be as low as 6th for sure. I think it really depends on how their Freshmen perform this year, as they tend to not be as consistent.

Dayton takes down St. John's to move onto the Championship game of the Charleston Classic (presumably against Houston).

Vermont really impressive against Saint Louis this afternoon to move into the final of the MBI. John Becker did a great job in the portal. They face the winner of Liberty or Wichita St on Sunday.

Colgate who are looking to bounce back after throwing away a 24 point lead on Tuesday to Syracuse face Ivy favorites Yale up in Moncton, New Brunswick at the Atlantic Slam in about an hour.

UH 39
Utah 30

At the half

Coogs in control but Utah is impressive. Lot of size. They’ll give a lot of teams trouble.
