GA So Performance
A few things I noticed that were different Saturday. They may be unfounded since there is only one game to go on.

QB:

Pennington can read defenses faster. The OL only has to hold their pass protection 2-1/2 to 3 seconds instead of 4+ seconds. Less pressure and less time for the secondary to react.

Since he is not a strong runner, rushing plays ended up in Ali's hands, which is where you want them. Also, less decisiveness handing the ball off. I know of at least 6 times this season where fumbles occurred with Francher trying to pull the ball out late to run it himself.

Offense

Since the positions were more defined and the workload lessened, the offense started working as a team and got stronger as the group got more reps.

Defense

I noticed that the defense got stronger when they felt the offense wasn't going to go away. As their burden became less, they relaxed and started playing ball. There was still some missed assignments and tackles but less individual play and more fun. This was a really good QB we faced and though he sliced and diced us, the defense came up with some good plays and late pressure to secure the win.

Special Teams

Who were these guys? They played error-free and accounted for the winning margin with the KO TD by Jaden. No missed FGs or XPs and 2 punts downed inside the 5? Wow.

I only hope the team continues to improve. It's easier to watch and I'm sure it's more fun for the kids.

I can agree with everything you've said. This game was the first game in a long time since I felt we had a chance to win it. I'll also say that having a Leader at QB has been missing since Cato was here. I'm very optimistic with the last two games.

Agreed. Finishing with 2 wins would do it for me.

Winning the last two games and winning a bowl would be HUGE!!!!!! But what's cool is I feel we have a chance to win three straight.

I didn't get a chance to see the game. Without seeing them play and not being around the team to understand the coaching effort, I'm at a loss.

We looked like ****. Our OL is horrible. Our coaching is horrible. Our play calling is horrible. I turned it off halfway through the 3rd quarter.
