Butler has bullied both of their opponents to start the year, playing Eastern Michigan and SE Missouri at home. Easily winning both by 35+

15.5 point spread. It's small sample size theater but Butler apparently has looked incredible so far.

Definitely need a good showing. A 4-6 point game at halftime with a 15-18 point final margin would be OK. Obviously a victory would be sweet.

Underwhelming ball movement and little penetration. Q is 1 for 7. Team is 1 out of 4 for FT’s. Justice Smith with 3 fouls in 15 seconds lmfao. Goaltending call just overturned to take 2 points away from ETSU lmfao. Butler is not very strong, either, but now they’re up 20 points under 7 mins first half. Gonna be a very long game and maybe a long pre-conference this time around the horn.

not a lot of offensive talent for us it doesn't look like and no size those things are not going to change throughout the year so let's just hope they start to get better and improve in the areas that you CAN improve on during the season… The turnovers... the fouls…etc

Yes I heard on the pregame that he is out tonight and the next game. We need him just for his size.

This game reminded me of Forbes' first year in 2015 when we were blown out at Villanova. Growing pains

I know Butler was picked 10th in the Big East, but that is a GOOD team.

Pre season polls had Bucs 7th. I thought that was a bit low, but now it looks right on target.

And while ETSU was getting destroyed by Butler, Furman was beating Belmont over the weekend Chattanooga was beating Louisville, and Western Carolina was beating Notre Dame.

The Southern Conference is #16, according to Massey, of the 34 conferences. Interestingly, Ohio Valley is #32, Atlantic Sun is #27, Big South is #25, Sun Belt is #19 and Conference USA is #9.

Massey rankings have ETSU at #265, Greensboro at 141, WCarolina at 115, Chattanooga at 110 and Furman at 95.

Kenpom has ETSU at #284, Greensboro at 123, WCarolina at 130, Chattanooga at 178 and Furman at 96. Elon, btw, is #334. Butler is #62.

This team needs to learn how to win.
