Troy is currently a 21.5 favorite. The Trojans have destroyed the spread in each of the last five games. Not sure that will be the case in Monroe, where it's been extremely tough for Troy to get a win. We'll see if Sumrall can be the one to shake the curse.

Troy is a 97% lock to win the SBC-West. A win here gets the Trojans closer to 100%, but will still need to beat one of the two left (cajuns and southern miss) after this game.

ULM has played a few teams tough and even beat army. I could see Troy losing or winning a close one, or Troy running away with it. Hopefully it's the latter so we can climb the AP / CFP ladder.

If I had to guess, Troy wins a close one, and sneaks out of the house of horrors with a "W".

Troy's going to have to beat the fog out of ULM if they want to continue getting respect.

A loss or close-win does Troy no favors to put itself ahead of the posers in the AAC, MWC, MAC, and CUSA.

His defenses are usually pretty good at stopping pro style offenses like Troy's. Not sure he has the players yet to do what he wants, though.

I liked Koenning's defense when he was at Troy. My buddies and I joke that Neal Brown reaped the rewards that Koenning earned. I'm concerned that ULM has him as DC.
I also like Terry Bowden. I know he isn't doing well at ULM, but still, I like him. I don't follow ULM very close, but I think there is opportunity to be a good football team with that staff.
I also like ULM since they were the first team I ever saw wearing camo uniforms. I was sitting behind the bench of the ULM team back in the day and a dude pulled out a can of Copenhagen and packed a dip. I was dipping at the time, so I found that cool.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this game as all Troy games. ULM will put up a fight I am sure.

ULM doesn't have the resources for VK to build the defense he wants quickly. I think we see that he will probably get there but year-three (next year) I think we will see a really strong ULM D.
Bowden is the type of coach we need until we can get some financials taken care of (if we can get them taken care of)
