O/U 2 on Hanson Punts on Saturday. I will take the under. If a push we both Donate.

Ryan has hit that over 8 out of 9 games. JMU85 just wants an excuse to donate more, and for that,
Realize the odds but also realize JMU wins either way here. Go Dukes!

Exactly what the doctor ordered. It's a bet!

Still new to this board (and posting) but love this type of bet
I will do a smaller (I am retired) if anyone is interested $ 50 bet on who does the first kickoff to start the game (not who wins the coin toss). I will say UConn does the first kick off.

I will accept this bet as well (Dukes kick off first). If somehow, someone other than UConn or JMU kicks off first, we have bigger problems. Montpelier Collective or Duke Club, I have no preference but if you do just let me know.

Speaking of which, where’s my Duke Club decal…
Feel like its worth noting, I feel like most everyone on here and a lot of folks I know have increased their donations in the last year or two. I know we aren't where we want to be overall but those of us trying are definitely trying harder. Its admirable as is OP's intention of getting additional donations.

Also, where's my decal?
I think key is also being an ambassador and getting people you know who don't donate (coworkers, old roommates, high school alumni that also were Dukes) to donate, even if it is a 'measly' $10 (ideally more like $10/mo).

Good point, get people who don't give to give something, anything. Also, no donation is too small, we can't lose sight of the normal supporters while chasing the big dollar donors. If you only give $25 than increasing to $50 shouldn't be too much to ask. Would be ideal if everybody that already donates increases their giving levels and we bring new donors in to the fold.

Part of how Clemson became big time was because of a program called IPTAY (I pay $10 a year). Granted that was $10/year in 1934 so with inflation that's a lot more in today's money, but the key is getting people to give, even a modest amount that if spread over an annual giving period is small enough to not feel in your personal budget but big enough to make an impact when combined with others.

IMO, I saw it firsthand with my alma when they replaced an outgoing AD with somebody that chased the whales and forgot all of those that gave smaller amounts. It's nice to get that big dollar donor that might have enough to make a significant contribution, but you can't just take the smaller donors for granted. Just like one of those telethons, "every donation matters" and every donor should feel valued; if you can forgo that mocha choco latte a few times a month you can make a difference in some student-athlete's experience.

In preparation for my lost bet (hopefully Dukes dominate and Hanson doesn't see the field) I made a $113 donation to the collective in honor of the points scored last night.
