Looking like a disastrous start to the season. This is why every spot you use matters. Can’t be doing package deals for the hell of it. We needed another big.

Well, Yaxel was a no-show against Bradley, after being our best player in the exhibition. So maybe he shows up and makes up for the absence of Coleman. And maybe Vasquez turns it around after an embarrassing performance on Monday and is the player we hope he will be. We need both of those guys to be key players if we are going to be any good. But like so many juco players, consistency is the biggest issue as they adjust to D-I.

We have good depth, and lots of athletes, even if Davis is really our only serviceable center right now (not counting Shaver just yet). Bradley was much bigger than us, but we outrebounded them. And Davis stayed out of foul trouble and gave us a lot more minutes than he ever gave us last year.

What I am more concerned about--again this year--is our last of shooters. I suspect people will pack it in and dare us to beat them outside. I don't know that we can.

He didn’t pick up an injury in the first game that I saw, so I wonder what is going on

He played a lot of minutes, and he’s going to have a big role for the team, so I hope it’s not something related to conflict on the team

Hopefully they are wrong and Coleman is available.

We’ve made the ncaa tournament 3 times since Mike Anderson left, I don’t know what happened to everybody’s expectations with this program. How long has Anderson been gone? As for my fandom, I don’t have to prove crap to anybody. I’m at every football or basketball home game, women or men’s, with scholarship season tickets and gold cards. Miss me with that.

Coleman ain’t some role player, he supposed to be a focal point. As bad as I think Clemson is compared to their conference peers, Coleman ain’t expendable whether it’s vs Clemson or the worst team on our schedule.

Hes equivalent to losing Buffen if we give him appropriate minutes.

Who are the point guards currently on the roster and who has AK brought on that is a real point guard to this point?

We've done very well without a real point guard, but it's definitely a real thing. It's part of the reason his teams struggle a lot in the half court.

Butta, Toney, Vasquez, Gaines - NOT point guards

Jelly - not a point guard

Ertel, Quan, Jamal Johnson, Locure - all not really point guards. the only one you might make an argue for was Locure, and he was relegated to the end of the bench.

BTW, where's Satterfield?

He put up 11 and 8 in 29 minutes and made his fts. What reason do you have to believe he isn’t a huge part of this team?

maybe i dont know basketball , but i follow uab since 1991 and seat very close to the uab bench , last year i complain a lot about one player and his attitude and it seem i was right ,,,if ,coleman was # 13 , coach was screaming at him on every play to make him move to the correct area of the course ,,,was not to happy with him on defense and was look for air each time he come to the bench and when on the bench doenst seem to care about anything ,,,,vasquez and another guard were so mad each time they come back to the bench ..i am expecting those 2 guy to help in the future because of theirs attitude on the bench
we are not gonna beat any one decent team with espn highlight pg that we have right now
i hope that i am wrong but i am rarely wrong :)
