RE: 2025 Football Recruiting
Pretty impressive to go from 43 spots to 19 in less than 3 weeks

Have heard we will sign a dozen or so in February. Probably a handful of unannounced we’d still take leading into the start of classes next week.

Still worried about the quality of the recruits, or have they gotten better? Or a little bit of both lol?

RE: 2025 Football Recruiting
The pool of players I’m watching over the next couple of days is:
Jayce Freeman
Amorie Morrison
Denver Warren 03-woohoo
Amaury Wiggins
Cohen Fuller
Eli Ennis
Elijah Lagg 03-woohoo
Michael Nwokocha
Kevin Kalonji

I’m thinking:
Omarion Davis to ECU
Jackson Lataimua, we backed off

Not seeing enough smoke on some other names. Probably a high likelihood, we land another name I know, but gets by me. Like AJ Johnson.

up a small tick. This does appear to be better than going full Juco. This is some of the quality on the Dline we could not land in the portal under Clark. If we can get 2 of 3 with Morrison, Warren, or Nwokocha.

Holy crap. We landed Denver Warren
https://x.com/drippy_d1/status/187784474...pR1eVTcJZA

I have a suspicion about possibly signing this guy in Feb. Will watch.
https://x.com/steelfb14?s=21&t=eb74psdjU71jpR1eVTcJZA

Could just be inquiries and the start of engagement, but watching Ryder Burton and Nigel Tate as well.

I am, Really hoping for another RB that would be healthy going into fall camp.

Would it be a Dilfer recruiting class without sneaking in an SEC offensive lineman?
Aaryn Parks?
How about Big 10? Cole Morgan?
Just throwing some stuff at the wall. See if it sticks. I’m invested again, now.

UAB adds a pledge from Boston College DL Nigel Tate!

And then there were 14 spots.

Needs(my opinion, in order):
1. 2nd RB
2. 2-3 starter quality OL
3. Starting MLB
4. Edge
5. 3rd WR
6. 3rd RB
7. 3rd QB, with college exp

There’s probably more than 14 spots. We have some career non-contributors at OL, RB, QB, and DB that we can cut loose.

If we need that many more LBs, we need to cut some loose. But it’s not like we don’t have the spots for everything we listed. Defense is getting addressed. I’m not seeing enough movement on an offense that could not score and a pretty bad Oline for rushing and long pass protection.

Irvine says:
UAB portal players expected to return to the Blazers: Demarcus Smith, Corri Milliner, BJ Hawkins, Harrison Barker, Baron Franks, Sirad Bryant, AJ Brown.

So, too bad Frenchy wasn’t entirely right. SOME of the dead weight is coming back .

April portal window will be interesting to watch.

10 spots?

Well look who's back Harrison Barker, is Colby Dempsey or Joker Gill confirmed yet? Huge Hawkins and Smith.

May portal bait: Hawkins, Chorak, Miles, Barker, Goodwin. Jacobs, what does he do?

We have not gotten better offensively, two recruiting classes in a row so far. That starts up front and on ground. Find physicality before anything.

Raise your hand if you want to watch an offense that relies on dump passes?

What's wrong wit BJ Hawkins? Shown big play/playmaking potential before the injury or less reps.
