If you tried to actually double cover both WRs, you are going to get abused inside the hashes, especially with our linebackers and safeties in coverage.

James has been awesome all year long, I don't have any major issues leaving him on an island.

While I would prefer to blitz and make Vasko make quick decisions, these coaches have alot more information available than I do. They don't seem to make head scratching decisions. The only real issues I have is that Rahne is way too conservative on 4th downs/field goal attempts. Individual play calls come down to execution

I understand that, however, here we are. Looking at Pickney's stats, for the game, and the final drive, Pickney was too tall to not give James help, especially at the end of the game.

Especially knowing you cannot give up the touchdown. Worst case should have been OT.

Hindsight is 20/20. Wish ODU could have that one down back.

Pinckney's catches:

-Lined up oppsite number 17 in zone

-zone coverage in between a LB and safety

- lined up across James and ran a screen for 1 yard gain

- 10 yard catch- zone coverage across James

-12 yard gain- zone coverage and Pinkney lined up on the opposite side of the field.

- ~15 yard gain on a pass to the opposite side of the field from James

I think it would be a solid point if Pinkney was having a big game against James, but James clamped him up for 1 catch and 10 yards before the last play.

I think on the last drive, that giving whomever help over the top on Pinkney AND Brown should have been the call, James or not.
As I stated, Pinkney, (nor Brown) should have been isolated in man on that last
drive.
That should have been that call no matter what.
I love James, but he is 5'10" with lifts. Pickney is 6'4". It was only a matter of time.
