This was the first game after I left the cheerleading team, I was torn as I wanted to travel with the team but I watched us on TV get the job done

Ummmm, who was your QB then? Oh right I remember. Then how did you do after he left ODU? Oh right, I remember. Glad ODU is going to make this trip on Sat night, will be a good game.

If you think that game was all because of one guy, you're misremembering because the running game, special teams and defense made crucial plays against the Dukes. But more importantly, do you know what that game or any missteps our program has made over the last decade have to do with this weekend? Not a damn thing.

Yes, really. They surrendered 5 sacks to App State, and their line is not as talented as JMUs line. Gulp, it could get ugly if they do not make adjustments. What the line is doing right now is not sustainable.
We shored it up in the 2nd half, with only one sack.
It is not all on the OL, either. Wilson started rolling out/scrambling and passing on the run, which helped mitigate the App pass rush.
Additionally, the real danger is not just from the JMU Dline, but from their very well disguised and flexible blitzes.
Yeah, no doubt they saw the tape of him rolling out to the right every time. They'll be a LB there with a quickness.
Or a safety. As best as I could tell from watching highlight videos (Ourlads is incomplete since they are not officially full FBS yet), they run a 4-2-5 with a Rover.
I am also concerned that with the very quick edge rush, he may have trouble rolling out just against their DL.
Right. If the defensive ends get up field quickly, the QB doesn't have time to rollout.

I wish, but linebacker speed is not exactly a strong point for us....

You guys certainly seem to have our number in Harrisonburg. Our offense had 3 points at halftime last week. Our defense is still strong, but our offense seems to be more easily defensible each week.

I thought Wilson said postgame that it was part of the plan? I could be misremembering.
The two point conversion looked like a designed rollout. Maybe that's what he was talking about. The others looked like straight dropbacks into a pocket and then a scramble.
Yeah, I know that was, but on the postgame, I remember them asking Wilson about rolling out to his right, and he said it was something that he was comfortable with and made it seem it was put into the package.
I guess we will see.

It can be something you practice and prepare for without being a "designed" roll out. Just a 'break glass in case is emergency' thing you practice when you need it.

We were at the game at JMU and after a rocky 1st half put it all together for the 2nd half. JMU had a very good team and a great crowd. The win made for a nice night albeit a cold one (really cold to us VB folks). Much nicer weather for the Bahamas Bowl and then back to cold for the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Hope the weather is nice wherever we go bowling this year.

It was a lot colder higher up than where you sat at the Myrtle Beach bowl
