Look, I used to have a job a where I had to deal with people who are addicts and coming out of the prison system like eric has openly discussed on here multiple times. I believe that is when he fell in with the militant brand of extremist Christianity he is now constantly espousing and trying to convert everyone to.

With addicts, who never really recover, you have to hold them accountable and keep them honest. It’s not always easy. I’m doing him a favor because he’s had enough warning about his religious nutjobbery and preaching and turning every thread into his own personal pulpit on this board. If someone challenges and the moderators warn him enough, sometimes he shuts up the preaching and manages to keep himself out of trouble.

Everything for the addicted mind about patterns. It’s the only way they can cope with normal society. If he can’t control himself from jumping in (this is the fourth thread of mine in a row) threads and starting a big fracas, perhaps his after care program or counselors can put him back on something stronger. Mental illness, crime and addiction are terrible things and I’m not mocking how he ended where he is, but I also don’t have to accommodate him. That would not be doing him any favors.

I have never had drug or alcohol additions or problems in my life, never been a criminal, never been to prison, never needed counseling of any kind. I'm far from perfect but NONE of those things have ever happened.

They also say identifying and staying away from situations where you find you end up getting yourself in trouble helps.
