RE: FIU vs SHSU
FIU 4-4 now only two games away from Bowl eligibility.

Fantastic defense in the 2nd OT.

Have already equaled last year's win total.

Congrats FIU. Another gut punch for the Bearkats. This was a fun game to watch. Going to turn back to the NMSU-UTEP game. I’m liking these mid week games.

We’ll see about basketball there may be hope there. Baseball is always solid so that will probably be when I check back in. Right now I can’t get over 0-7. I’ll likely be hunting the rest of this fall/ winter. Usually my hobby’s have to split weekend but now I don’t have to worry about what happens with football. Best of luck to the rest of y’all! sorry we’re the toilet of the conference. Hopefully a couple of you can score wins against us to make a bowl game and represent CUSA well.

Must have been a slow night at Sports Illustrated. Kinda tacky of them to report on tweet. Tabloid style. It’s obviously a pregame shot.

Yeah, that's bad reporting. And I think the BearKats have a real good shot at getting their 1st win on Wednesday.

RE: FIU vs SHSU
while that is a "knock" there is some reality to it.....I am again not trying to run SHSU down I wish them the best, but even during the game last night the talking heads had a discussion about interviewing Keeler and asking him about how he felt facing pretty much an entire rebuild of a program or a situation that is almost like staring a program in D1-A and if he has considered walking away......and they said his answer was that yes he had considered walking away, but discussed things with his wife and they decided to "give it a try" and his wife convinced him to ask for a four year contract instead of a three year deal that was offered

when one looks at his record overall even prior to SHSU he is a hell of a coach and has done a lot of good things and he will be hard to replace for any program.....if he does not do well with the transition there will be a massive list of coaches that "want to be a head coach" that will take the job.....but I am not sure that many of them will be a better coach than he is or they will do a better job and that is an issue

this goes to all those (especially those in the general forum on this site) that are always wanting the Dakota schools to move up (to The Big David State Conference) and that talk about how "ready they are" and how "they can just build on what they have now"......and then you see it is not that easy and that losing at a higher level is a much tougher sell than winning at a lower level

SHSU had a good thing going and they were building their fan base and their administration did not take seriously the amount of money and effort needed to move up and they ignored there were a lot of fans not really excited about the move

and sadly even in this thread there is a SHSU fan that stated "checking out until baseball"....I feel bad for that fan and others like him and I wish the administration at SHSU had done a lot more work and put a lot more effort into moving up vs. "lets roll it out there and see" and sadly it seems even their head coach had those concerns

Yeah those empty stadium posters love to show pictures early or before games and claim it's a crowd. Super pathetic of SI to spread it.

Here we go again. This point has been discussed ad nauseam--esp. the SHSU angle.

RE: FIU vs SHSU
Terrible from SI to show hour before kickoff it was not a good crowd but there were 7500 there or so

The 4-18 conversion is just mind blowing
