"Amongst these arrests, three people have been arrested and charged with Assault on a Police Officer during processing."

When do the "death attributed to the assault" and PTSD claims start rolling in.
Get them in front of Congress (and the made for TV production cameras)!

I agree.

I’ll bet ya it doesn’t see an indictment … same bet as the bowl game?!

#thinkLongThinkWrong #chopchop

What time frame is the end date for an indictment?

Ill take the indictment side of the bet, I just want to put in a reasonable end date for you, so if it goes past I cant say 'we are still waiting'. I would hate to be a weasly welcher in that manner.....

Say..... six months from now there has to be an indictment of any single person arrested in the Capitol today, for any level of crime. That puts us at..... April 18, 2024?

Same bet amount as with the bowl game if that is good with you.

edited to add: eitehr indictment or charges in front of a court. I dont know if the Feds can charge this on an information as well as an indictment. Just make it 'any person arrested today arraigned on for any level of crime' would be most broad. This is one I would be very unhappy to lose, mind you, since it would be a double loss in that regard.

just for shites and giggles, let’s go with April fools day and by your terms, we have action … 04-cheers

addendum: your edit is why I suggested the play … 03-wink

A friend was a 30 year LEO.
He had what he called the ligament rule: touch him and he takes a ligament of his choice; two ligament minimum (something about if you're doing paperwork anyway).

He had a collection of ACLs, MCLs, and thumb ligaments. He carried a kubotan keychain and a side-handle night stick.

You're on --- I'll give you a 24 hour free exit. Just peg me by PM by this time tomorrow if you bail. Looks like there are already serious 'assault of popo' charges in the works from the tweets.

There could be arraignments as early as next week with those arrests. Just saying.... As much as shooting fish in a barrel is profitable, I try not to. 03-wink

Right now, front page of CNN.com ... nothing about this.

I believe it's called a lie of omission.

RE: Pro Terrorists Rioting In The Capitol
I just got home … no question we need to draw the line at procedural interference (don’t know the official charge/terminology) … when I knee-jerk responded (see, I can admit such), it was literally to the posit from Sicatoka that you responded to (which NOT to my surprise, was on the side of equitable prosecution)

I had zero clue there was assault on po-po or any other lesser issue related to this CF (hence, you fairly stating “too broad”)

you know I’m driving at the double standard side from the DOJ relative to J6 … I’m not savvy enough to lay out the terms in legalese … this is where I need your help … so, help out out a ding donged feller, dadgummit … 03-wink

cheers,

Understand completely stink.

At very well *could* be be an 'obstruction of Congress'..... depends if the proceedings were actually interfered with.

As to the folks that assaulted any Capitol popo.... there *should* be assault on an officer type charge -- much like that handed to those in the J6 fracas that seemed to assault popo.

As to the jacktards that 'wailed and thrashed' but did not destroy anything, or assault anyone -- there *should* be the equivalent of the Federal 'trespassing' thingy that were tossed at the J6 folks. And again, if that actually disrupted the proceedings, that 'obstruction of Congress' absolutely should be pressed.

If there are not charges like the above that fall out from the various activities, I think a comment of 'double standard' would be absolutely appropriate.

My suggestion is that the bet not go through. I would hazard a guess that it is a pretty easy call that charges will be brought -- especially since there are arrests in connection with assaulting popo.

You are more than free to continue the bet --- I will have zero issue taking your bourbon. The odds would seem to be wildly stacked in that side. I just dont feel right in 'hiding the goods' from you and you think I suckered you in a bet.

Full disclosure above, from my POV here. Be glad to continue if you want, and offering you the opportunity to not have to enter it to it if you wish.

As I said, if that bet is taken and lost by me, it would imo be a double loss. Hate giving up good bourbon, *and* would not like to see a 'no charges' come out of this.

Be good.

Edited to add: I will tell you right now that if no charges come out of this there would be a double standard. Im willing to wait and see what happens. My gut tells me that charges *will* come out of this.

At least they didnt try and keep the counting of electoral ballots from occurring. Then maybe you would have been all A-OK with it.

All rational people would. I bet it doesn't happen and if it does they're slapped with fines, not 20 plus year sentences.
