I had zero clue there was assault on po-po or any other lesser issue related to this CF (hence, you fairly stating “too broad”)
you know I’m driving at the double standard side from the DOJ relative to J6 … I’m not savvy enough to lay out the terms in legalese … this is where I need your help … so, help out out a ding donged feller, dadgummit …

Understand completely stink.
At very well *could* be be an 'obstruction of Congress'..... depends if the proceedings were actually interfered with.
As to the folks that assaulted any Capitol popo.... there *should* be assault on an officer type charge -- much like that handed to those in the J6 fracas that seemed to assault popo.
As to the jacktards that 'wailed and thrashed' but did not destroy anything, or assault anyone -- there *should* be the equivalent of the Federal 'trespassing' thingy that were tossed at the J6 folks. And again, if that actually disrupted the proceedings, that 'obstruction of Congress' absolutely should be pressed.
If there are not charges like the above that fall out from the various activities, I think a comment of 'double standard' would be absolutely appropriate.
My suggestion is that the bet not go through. I would hazard a guess that it is a pretty easy call that charges will be brought -- especially since there are arrests in connection with assaulting popo.
You are more than free to continue the bet --- I will have zero issue taking your bourbon. The odds would seem to be wildly stacked in that side. I just dont feel right in 'hiding the goods' from you and you think I suckered you in a bet.
Full disclosure above, from my POV here. Be glad to continue if you want, and offering you the opportunity to not have to enter it to it if you wish.
As I said, if that bet is taken and lost by me, it would imo be a double loss. Hate giving up good bourbon, *and* would not like to see a 'no charges' come out of this.
Be good.
Edited to add: I will tell you right now that if no charges come out of this there would be a double standard. Im willing to wait and see what happens. My gut tells me that charges *will* come out of this.
