Yikes. Villanova wasn't even ranked.

Memphis had a bad game. Villanova just beat Maryland, Texas Tech, and UNC in their 3 games before that. I’d imagine they’ll be a top 15 team and Memphis will also be ranked. The rankings mean little to nothing to me at this point in the season, nobody really knows.

With 10 minutes remaining in the game, Villanova led 64-32. I believe the greatest lead was 35 points. Villanova must have shut it down at that point. Memphis won the last 10 minutes, 31 - 25. Memphis had a 24-2 run to get within 14 points.

KenPom has an algorithm that guesses the measure of DOMINANCE. This is the average expected margin of victory throughout the game, assuming equal strength by both teams. This game ranks 11th of all games so far this season in dominance. The Purdue-Samford game, won by Purdue 98-45, ranks 8th.

Going into the game, KenPom had Villanova at 19 and Memphis 29. Now it’s Villanova at 14 and Memphis 38.

the second day of turkey overload took its toll on me and i cashed my chips but I think Memphis started the game dominating Villanova and it was like 7-0 or 9-0 in the first 4 minutes or so.

I said to myself, well Memphis is really good so they will be spanking us in the conference. now, i think we have a chance!

As long as Mike Davis isn't coaching UAB, we always have a chance against Memphis. No reason to be scared of them.

They are a lot like they’ve always been. A bunch of long, athletic, streaky shooters. If we catch them on a night they are hot from 3, it will be a problem. If we don’t, I don’t see why we can’t compete.

Or Haase for that matter.

Villanova got out to a 16-2 lead. Maybe you just mixed up the teams.

Yeah I was going to say I couldn’t remember if that game was haase or ehsan. That one was a doozy.

I watched it. They are impressive when they are hitting shots. When they are not, that is when you can get them. The Russian still travels.

I still enjoy living in the Russians head rent free.

He traveled less than 3 feet from the basket with no one within 10 feet of him against us at bartow last year. That was impressive.

FAU's Thanksgiving wins were good for the conference. Helps make up for their loss to Bryant. I think FAU and Memphis should be in good shape to get an at large and there's a chance for a 3rd bid from one of UAB, Tulane, Wichita, and SMU.

Let's start calling them quality losses since thats what the power schools do...
Clemson receiving 6 votes and Bradley receiving 1 vote in the AP Poll. Both are still undefeated.

Bradley plays McNeese State the day after we play them and Clemson plays Bama tomorrow night.

Stanford played the tournament in Atlantis over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Lost to Arkansas in 2OT, 77-74
Lost to Michigan, 83-78
Lost to Northern Iowa, 73-51

They were competitive in the first two games. They were down 22 at halftime in the last game. Not sure what happened, but they were missing their shooting forward. He injured his wrist.

Stanford is now 3-4.

The ladies beat Jax st at home tonight in overtime. Deshields and Moore combined for 51 points.
