ESPN story says witnesses/potential victims were being threatened with hand gestures from the courtroom crowd today.

Following a morning recess, Modlin told Thompson-Taylor he had received reports from someone in the courtroom that members of the public gallery were making hand gestures and facial expressions that could have been attempts at intimidating a witness. He asked her to clear the courtroom if they continued, and she warned the public she would not tolerate such actions.

Looks like it's time for Penny to give him the Parson Johnson quote from Blazing Saddles: "Son, you're on your own...."

Imagine sitting in court trying not to go to jail and your "friends " are in the crowd pulling stunts like that. Probably just sealed his fate.

This is just stupid all around. Imagine having the talent to make millions of dollars and change your entire families tragetory for generations but deciding to throw it away to be a thug.

Defendants are not responsible for the sign language of spectators in the gallery.

RE: Did Mikey have his court hearing today?
Will he still have eligibility after serving his sentence?

After a few years on the "yard" courts and pumping iron every day, he might be unstoppable at the collegiate level. Have dude come in as a 29 year old freshman, right out of the "pen" and he'll just be murdering folks!

He should. His eligibility clock doesn't start until he starts college.

He'll probably cop a plea deal at which point the Tigers will formally sever the relationship. J.J. Taylor, our preseason FOY, is one of Mikey's best friends; so handling this process with a diplomatic touch is very appropriate.

He is taking online courses. What part of that is not starting college? Well we all know online courses are "fake", but still, technically I'd have to assume it's officially starting college.

Forgot about that. His college clock will have started then.
