Week 6 AAC Superlatives

A few notes:

-That UAB offense looked LETHAL
-FAU did a good job containing Cardell Williams
-UGLY loss for Rice
-Navy will compete. Alex Tecza is a beast!
-Those UAB uniforms were sweet! Best combo so far

It's funny how polarizing the uniforms have been. I've seen a lot of love and hate for them, but not a ton in between.

Personally I think the gray ones look ugly. The green ones can be tweaked and be solid. Pleased with the black ones even if we have an ongoing curse.

Yes, I appreciate the importance of the childrens harbor games, doesn’t mean I think giving the children our ugliest jersey is ok.

Wear Green, dammit!

And as to the blackout, the only time I have *ever* worn black UAB gear was for the march to the Bart in protest of the football shutdown.

I'd be surprised if 1 in 4 of our fans actually show up wearing black. Hell, when we do ___ outs at the Bart and give away the shirts, half the crowd does not put them on, they stay in what they came in... and we're not giving shirts away.

I personally hate the children’s harbor jerseys. They are ugly and tacky looking. I don’t mind the gray, even tho it’s not one our colors, but the neon lime green is vomit inducing

I wonder if BB either isn't an especially good route runner, or doesn't have very good hands, because that's just about the only "pass" we have thrown him this year. We've run that specific play in several games, as if we want to get him the ball, but just not down the field. With that kind of speed and separation, I would love to see a few deep shots with him.

Dilfer said if you can’t block on the Edge, you won’t play much. Make me think it don’t matter if you can get open or not, because 1. We can’t pass block long enough to go down field. 2. Those that can block, can’t get open down field.

So, you pick the lesser of two evils. We play the short pass game, and use a combination of things out of the backfield that anybody with speed at LB should be able to shut down.
