Lane Kiffin is in the news for being sued by Ole Miss player DeSantos Rollins for being kicked off the team for "mental health issues".

Rollins claims the coaching staff tried to get him to go into the transfer portal which he refused to do.
Mike claims there is audio of Lane Kiffin calling Rollins a P_ _ _ _. ESPN has not been able to verify that the voice on the tape is in fact Lane Kiffin.

knowing what they know...I don't think a lawyer would have taken the case if they thought they would lose.
Regardless of scholarship length... Kiffin calling a player suffering from 'depression' issues a P word in today's society is not a good look for him or the school...
If enough folks start raising cain about it...Kiffin could be looking for a new job.

I had several coaches in high school who said far worse things to my teammates and me during practices...kids gotta learn to grow a pair these days. Life is hard.

when I joined the Air Force in 1986...the T.I. used to scream at me daily.
I had to fight to keep from smiling. It was an act. That's how he did everybody.
I had several shook guys who'd come to me and ask me why I fought so hard to keep from smiling when he'd yell at me. To them...the sergeant was a badass. Didn't I know that?
I had to tell them that my father used to cuss me out way worse than that...this guy was a joke. Think I got a new level of respect after that.

When we first got off the bus...other airmen who were already days/weeks into BASIC training advised us "don't volunteer for nothin'".
In the day room...the TI starts asking for volunteers. No one is so obliging.
He mutters "I see they already got to y'all."
First position they ask for a voluteer for...was chow runner.
Seeing as how no one volunteered...he dropped the note card with what that position had to do...in the lap of the idiot sitting down in front of him at the front of the room.
And that is how...I was selected as the chow runner for Flight 3701. Lead, follow, or get out of the way.

I also had coaches that did that and in college too. Its part of sports culture. But I have to say that I never cared for it. It's just immature for coaches to behave that way. And not all kids are built to take that kind of tear down. I doubt Kiffin gets fired for this but you never know these days.

Cal called Earl Barron that, with an additional adjective, in a game - when it was quiet enough for a good chunk of the lower bowl to hear it

Cal called one of his UK players a 'selfish motherf@@ker' on live tv...so not surprising.

When we first got off the bus and hanging around the Orderly Room the TI cam out and demanded to know who told us to put down our suitcases and to pick em up. That wasn't fast enough. Put em down. Pick em up....for 30 minutes.
