Memphis vs Navy on ESPN
Watching the game and both teams looking really good. Just a very intense, hard-hitting football game. 28-21 Tigers in the 3rd.

Didn’t look like a first down to me, but I liked the spot.

The yellow line on tv didn’t match with the first down marker. So, after replay it looked like he got past the stick but not the yellow line.

Really navy got hosed.

Memphis won!

Everyone with a TV knew that wasn't a first down

I flipped it on for a minute in the 3rd quarter. Saw Navy throw a deep bomb for about 60 yards. Thought I had slipped into an alternate universe.

With UTSA having woes, Tulane without Pratt (although backup looked solid), and Memphis not being impressive, looks like the American is wide open right now. We shall see how things shake out once everyone starts conference play.

Also, nobody can talk about our Thursday night game attendance when Memphis had not only a conference mate but a national brand at their stadium and only drew 25,551. That's probably about average for a Thursday night game for a G5 team.

I'm just glad we left CUSA so we don't have to play Tuesday night games 03-puke

And unless I just couldn’t see a whole bunch of groups, that 25k is very generous.

I still think UTSA and Tulane are the teams to beat. SMU is probably up there as well, along with Memphis. I really just want to see a few newbies finish ahead of Memphis this year so their fans can shut up about us for a while.

Yep, this is two weeks in a row that they've been opening up the passing game. Last week they conducted an entire 80-yard TD drive with passes on every play.

Navy is much better. They will be a tough game for everyone. Beatable though. Memphis is clearly beatable. They are also not a very bright football team lol.

Watching the service academies (Army, Navy, Air force), you had better be prepared to work. These guys are gonna be physical and force you to match their physicality on every play.

Army is pounding UTSA 37-21 at UTSA, Air Force doing the same to Utah State, 32-7, and Navy should have beaten Memphis last night...

Army lost at Louisiana Monroe, but just won at UTSA. UTSA was using a backup QB.

Yep, but UTSA lost this game because they were bullied by Army...

I concur with this assessment. Army took it to them. I was surprised.

And because Frank Harris has not been right all season, and they're nowhere near as good without him. Turf toe plus a knee problem I understand, and they benched him to try to get him time to heal some.

Well, we had a few really good storms here in Maryland over the last week and a half, but most of the sky seems to be holding up okay. 03-lmfao
