Louisville has football schedule openings
Indiana just cancelled the contract, so they have openings in 2024 and 2025. Call them up!

That would be nice. But would we really drop anyone to make it work? We have FSU 2024 and Arkansas in 2025.

What’s wrong with dropping UT Martin or teams like that instead? Or conf is so bad, we need to play all the p5 teams we can. Memphis and Loserville in a renovated LBMS would be a big crowd.

Play Louisville Tulane and FSU in 2024 and that’s 1/2 a would be Metro conf schedule (what could have been)

Don't get me wrong. I'm down for it, but I would be surprised if the school actually did it to make the Louisville games work. Looking at their new open dates, we would have to drop Troy in 2024 and Georgia State in 2025.

That’s more than fine with me. WGAS about playing either of those teams when we could line up against UL

Yeah. Looking at it a little closer the Troy game is a home and home series so they might not drop that one. Maybe we could replace the GSU game at least.

I think our game at GSU was hurricaned out and rescheduled to 2025. I don’t think they’ll just take whatever buyout is in the contract.

I forgot about that. According to this Memphis already paid for that game.

Guess we won't be buying them out a second time. lol

don't have to drop, just push it back. I think I'd rather the MTSU game get pushed back.

Perfect sense to drop a CUPCAKE and add Lewisville but, ain’t gonna happen. Plus exposure in ACC.
Got to have the CUPCAKES

If we can get Louisville on a home and home, I would drop the buy game at FSU in a second

The fact that some people on this board believe that FSU did us a favor by allowing us to be a buy game shows how naïve some people are

Yep, now we are doing buy games with teams that used to be conference foes.

$1.3M, and the CA had to do a FOIA to find that out. Guess Laird wasn't too proud of it. https://www.commercialappeal.com/story/s...840740002/

"The Tigers will receive $1.3 million from Florida State, according to documents obtained by The Commercial Appeal through an open records request."

don't have to drop, just push it back. I think I'd rather the MTSU game get pushed back.

That's expecting the school to put even more effort in to make it work. Kind of like Ike, thinking about how the school has done things with football scheduling has killed my hope of this happening.

FSU for $1.3M on the road is good - so long as you still have 6 home games. That's a minimum.
People complain about the soft schedule, but complain when we have 1-off road games.
Pick a side and stick to it.
