Back to My Oklahoma vs Memphis
Put some numbers together to look at how Oklahoma's offense did against ASU's defense (OUvsASU), how your offense did (MEMvsASU), how ASU's offense did against OU's defense (ASUvsOU) and against your defense (ASUvsMEM).

Little hard to read but the numbers say your offense needs to step it up to match Oklahoma's offense but gives the edge to you on defense because you created turnovers.

Sorry don't do special teams but Butch Jones seems to like both of you in that department.

You are both good football teams, would be a good game if you played.

Nobody cares. Your team stinks. Maybe the worst in FBS. Y’all need to schedule Bethune Cookman if you really want to compare something. Y’all made our defense look like the 85 Chicago Bears

Yep. Stats comparisons like these mean absolutely nothing. Paralysis by analysis.

RE: Back to My Oklahoma vs Memphis
This was not about A-State , my question was how did your fans here think you compared to Oklahoma, and was asked prior to both games. I could not decide which was the better team, so left that question open on Hogville.

Did post as far as then comparing to you , other than some turnovers, and to many dropped passes, and you having some players make some explosive plays , and they did not, I did not see much separation in talent. The data supports that too.

The only thing I have posted since is they have the most talented teams they will play this year in their rearview mirror.

Wow, that was a little overboard.

More than "a little overboard" ~sarcasm noted~
Harsh is a better descriptor.

Their problem is Butch Jones, not the athletes or the program.

Not sure about Butch, but their OC might want to get some resumes ready.

The biggest problem this year, aside from being the third youngest team in FBS was starting the year against the two most talented teams on their schedule, back to back. Just throw the kids into the deep water, rather than wade in, to see who drowns.

Would have been much better to have played Stoney Brook (who ever they are ) first, or at least between you and Oklahoma.

Almost certainly would still be 0-2, but probably would have performed better, and they need some confidence.

I do appreciate your coaches taking your foot of the petal, and not running the score up on them, and not going for two after that last TD. Just kidding.

Thanks for all the work you did on your analysis. Only problem was your presentation of the info, very poor execution.

Tried to fix it so it looked like it like it did in my 2007 Excel spreadsheet but failed.

The numbers say you have a very good defense, and your offence, and special teams (did not show all the numbers there) did what they had to do to win the game.

The best team won, your 2-0, so it's all good.

Print Screen your excel sheet and make the portion with the info into a picture. That's what I started doing for posts like yours. Here's one of mine for example.

I don’t think any Memphis fan thinks they compare to Oklahoma. Seems a bit silly.

Our coach has a reputation of taking his foot off the pedal seconds after kickoff, as a Tiger fan, it was refreshing to see him still pushing and not taking a knee.

We have several losses on the wall over the last few years because we went into coast mode about a quarter too early.

Sorry it had to be you on the other side when his footballs finally dropped and he showed some aggression.

Man we will jack those Boomer Scooners and leave them on cinder blocks.

Just like next years we're going to smack around some Seminoles and steal their women.

LOL

Yea we're not quite in their league but anything is possible.

We weren't suppose to win at the LA Coliseum or in Gainesville either but we did.
