The start of this season feels a lot like the start of last season when we struggled against a bad EIU team, blew the game at Tulsa...then should have beat Vandy and then only lost by 8 to the 8th ranked Wildcats .

Nebraska rushing defense ranked #8 nationally. Giving up 56 yards/game, 1.9 yards/carry.

Nebraska is 0-2 thanks to Sims, not the Blackshirts.

They are going to try to make an example out of us, and our O-line is soft. It could get ugly fast. Wish I could be more optimistic.

I will be there and want to be optimistic, but struggling to. Nebraska is going to come into this game big mad after an 0-2 start. We do have the horses to pull it off, but does not feel good.

Before season started I cited we should be strong w/ FG kicking & it would be the difference in winning a couple of games. Unfortunately the opposite happened and it was big reason we lost to SIU. Have to remember it is only one game.

Beat Nebraska somehow and all of us will feel allot better.

Me too. For those of you going that haven’t made the trip before, just enjoy the experience. A game in Memorial is pretty special, especially at night. I’ll post some Lincoln stuff in a separate thread.

My Prediction: Rocky will step up, and they'll play better than they did against Southern Illinois. But Nebraska will get the win this time.

I predicted we'd lose to BC and beat SIU and the opposite happened for both.

I predict NIU to lose 27-20.

If we’re lucky Sims will be hurt and we play their backup QB.

This game will be ugly from the kickoff. Nebraska will simply not let the Huskies win this time. Let us get out of Lincoln injury-free, and that will be just like a victory.

I don't see us being able to score on Nebraska. They struggle offensively as well and our D is solid, but they'll grind out 24 points and it will be more than enough.

I wish I could be more optimistic but with how the O has played I just can't be.

Their fan base is still hung up on their loss to Colorado. Hopefully their team is overlooking us but I doubt it.
