Seth Henigen's slow starts
I think I know the reason he has had slow starts. It takes him a quarter to get used to not being poked with a stick. Cramsey needs to give a stick to one of his running backs on passing downs.

Do you know how good Henigan has been in the first quarter? Or are you just saying something out of your ass?

Could be on to something, Willie Mays Hayes had to do push-ups during actual games before he finally found his stroke.

Are you saying you don't think the Tigers have had slow starts?

I haven't really looked, but you might be on to something. I mainly remember the games with the fast starts and blown leads leading to a loss. But thinking about it in hindsight there weren't that many of them. I'd have to look at it further, but there might be a lot more slow starts than I would have originally thought.

Don't know about starts, but his numbers are significantly lower this year compared to his first two seasons.

Well except for his rushing numbers.

90 yards for a TD on the first drive of the game....I'll take that kind of slow start all day long

RE: Seth Henigen's slow starts
I think its the receivers. They seem to get knocked off their routes & have trouble getting separation. I don’t think there was a guy open on a deep ball all night, even though Navy looked to be leaving the CB’s in a lot of man coverage.

RE: Seth Henigen's slow starts
I cant tell from the broadcasts, but he is not throwing the ball down field enough - are the pass concepts, the WRs, or Seth himself to blame? probably some mix of all three. but man it is frustrating to watch

He is just an average QB being further hindered by a terrible coaching staff.

Almost entirely in the air. He looked really good that drive.

We do not have much speed. They appeared to play man all night on our outside receivers.

Navy only rushed 3 on the first drive ... Then they blitzed or showed blitz the rest of the game. He started getting hit a lot. He's a good qb ...and obviously tough !! 07-coffee3

Watch our receivers off the line… they cannot beat their defender, which causes Seth to hold onto the ball too long & then get hit. Its why our TE’s get so many check down looks. Roc Taylor looks like our best receiver but in years past, he’d be the 3rd or 4th option.

That being said, Blake Watson is the best RB we’ve had since Gainwell & the Lamphere has stepped right in at TE for Prieskorn.

I don’t think he’s average. I’d say more B or B+. But I’m not sure he’s as good as Brady White was.

I agree .... Our O-line looked winded most of the night .... weren't able to sustain blocks more than a step or two at the most .... Can't run a tempo based offense if that is the case ... Hope they get better at that as the season goes on ....
