Just trying to keep up with the board:
There are no more spots in the P5
We are behind Tulane and USF for those no more spots
We are a terrible university in a terrible city and we have terrible facilities both as a campus and as sports venues
In spite of having a terrible university with terrible academics and terrible sports facilities we should blame our terrible university leadership for not being in a better conference
And, in spite of being in a terrible conference we should blame our conference leadership for our conference not being better
Just trying to figure out who to blame. And what I have come to assume is that the system is to blame. The system that has Alabama play MTSU, that has UT play Austin Peay as reasonable regular season games yet divides universities into haves and have-nots by conference. In the NFL, Detroit can beat the defending Super Bowl champs, but in college football parity outside of the top 20 or so teams is a myth
With or without a new stadium, USF is #1 on the ACC’s list once FSU leaves. They must maintain FL precence, Tampa is a big market, USF has a huge student body and good academics. They will get in first despite years of ? & ? ineptitude.
you know that Miami is in that conference, right?
Yes, well aware. But losing FSU they’d want to replace that lost FL presence.

USF is doing what needs to be done. Florida State ain't leaving anytime soon, and ACC would still have Miami. But in addition to ACC, the Big 12 could look for another EST school, also UCF wouldn't be on an island.
USF got AAU in June, which also doesn't hurt.
Concur…USF has it all, except recent football success & forever crappy basketball.

The might lose Miami as well which would definitely help USF.
