Because it wasnt Boise St. It was Washington, a top ten team.

They beat out Notre Dame in the same time slot on NBC (Notre Dame was playing FCS Tennessee State).

So what we're saying is Boise State outdrew Tennessee State

Why not include the aggregate viewership numbers from the games featuring ACC teams? Seems like our friend from Ft. Lauderdale has an agenda to push here. Or am I being overly sensitive??

Kickoff Games are not apart of the ACC Media Deal. The Organizer keeps the TV Revenue. I suspect ACC teams accept so many Kickoff games because the Appearance Fee pays better than the ACC Media Deal.

The only ACC game under their Media Deal would be Clemson @ Duke which hasn't been released yet

Viewership does not translate to interest necessarily. You have to take into consideration OTA channels, ESPN, and FS1 as the same vs FS2/ESPNU...the former are available through all means and the latter are not carried on all means. In fact, you have to pay extra on most cable/streaming services to see the games on FS2/ESPNU. It's like saying the hamburgers at McDonald's are more popular than those at Whataburger. Well, McDonald's is available in ever county in the US but Whataburger is severely limited to just a few states.

I only think of Viewership as a measure of Media Deal Valuation.

Media Valuation is a measure of Conference Strength

Sure, If Washington is Notre Dame's equal then we are comparing Boise State to Tennessee State and they are 400k viewers better.

George Kliavkoff was right about one thing. Coach Prime does bring the eye balls. Too bad the PAC was already screwed by the time he signed on at Colorado.
