Judging from what I saw of him walking across campus the other day, he looks like a different player too. Javian has lost some serious weight! He looked super fit!

While he obviously feels Lendeborg is the gem of theJUCO recruits (I hadn't realized he was such a good 3pt shooter-43.8%), he does mention Coleman quite a bit...
"While his fellow teammates, Chris Coleman was number two, and Alejandro Vasquez was number six, Lendeborg is an offensive threat with versatile shooting ability. Coleman is not known for his 3-point shooting, while Lendeborg is and his ability to grab rebounds make him even more of a threat."
"Lendeborg made more 3-pointers than Coleman on almost half as many attempts."
"There are some massive holes left open by Trey Jemison has signed with the Pelicans – this role seemingly fits more for Coleman."
He did lose credibility when he said that Jemison's role would be filled by Coleman, or something to that effect. Coleman is rail thin. There is no way in hell is he filling Jemison's shoes. His legs look like toothpicks - like nearly Manute Bol level.
Not to say that skinny players can't be good. that's obviously not the case. There's just no way in hell he is filling Jemison's vacated role.

The UAB Blazers’s season would be considered a success to most programs, but Andy Kennedy’s group is not satisfied with NIT bids. To that point, they brought in Alejandro Vasquez, Daniel Ortiz, Marquis Hargrove, and Yaxel Lendeborg from the JUCO ranks and James White, Barry Dunning, and Will Shaver from Power 6 teams. The loss of star point guard Jelly Walker stings, but the roster has much more depth this year. In addition to holdovers Eric Gaines and Javian Davis-Fleming, North Alabama transfer Daniel Ortiz should provide a scoring threat to the backcourt.
In addition to roster changes, the conference is changing as well. UAB has made the jump from Conference USA to the AAC. In this latest batch of conference realignment, it could help out UAB’s at-large hopes in the years to come, even with Houston off to the Big 12.
"Yaxel Lendeborg (UAB): Lendeborg is an intriguing prospect to watch in the AAC. Coming from Arizona Western, Lendeborg is a Two-time NJCAA All-American forward who is coming off a season in which he averaged 17.2ppg and 13.0rpg. When you talk about his game, he is a 6’9 forward who can be explosive, runs the floor well, finishes strong at the rim, and brings versatility as well to the court. Really like his activity level and it will be interesting to see what he can provide to the program."
