With that kind of a television deal, not only the Pac4 minus 2, but the SEC, B1G, Big12 and the ACC should be trying to get into the MWC.

Huh?

I'm curious about the logic to come up with that statement, but more importantly it isn't true.
The mwc's total linear exposure is similar to ours: 23 on CBS/CBSSN and 23 on Fox/FS1/FS2. 3 OTA CBS similar to our ABC opportunities. Their CBS OTA have done pretty poor numbers though. Second big difference is the dropoff to FS1/FS2 compared to ESPN ESPN2. Third is the amount on CBSSN. You won't catch this Navy guy talking down on CBSSN, the home of service academy football, but it doesn't play in Nielsen, so no numbers to talk about for your next deal (or for message board nerds)

Look at those numbers all the MW schools are averaging over 115,000 viewers except the bottom four teams, certainly hard to believe especially since most of those games are on the CBS sports Network, which unlike the Espn channels, you have to pay your cable provider extra to receive. (I know this for a fact because I didn't have the CBS sports Network in my basic cable package and wasn't interested in paying for it. FWIW, I use Hulu for my live Tv now and it's there.) So, how can they possibly be pulling in those numbers.

Hope that helps you to see my logic.

Okay. A two part answer.
First, it's really important to note that this guy is doing total viewers, not just the conference controlled inventory. That's okay, especially talking schools not conference in aggregate - those paycheck games may not help the conference bottom line, but the President probably appreciates the AD getting the school's name in so many living rooms. (For conference media deal discussionsconf controlled inventory is waaaay more important.)
Second, is it really that many?

Let's look at a couple examples.
Colorado State is on top for the mwc. Multiply by 12 and that's 4.632 million total viewers. Week 1 the Rams visited Michigan, on ABC for 3.93 million of those. Then at Nevada 433k viewers, and Boise 269k. For comparison, in one of those two weeks SMU UCF played a storm makeup game Wednesday night, and got 866k viewers on ESPN2.
That lower end you mentioned was Nevada - 1,396,800 viewers all season. CSU 433k on FS1, AF 312k on FS1, then ooc at Iowa 348k on BTN and at independent NMSU on ESPN2 for 304k.
Switching from sportsmediawatch to mattsarzsports, I see those two each had a couple on CBSSN, and I was reminded of something else: regional sports networks. Their CBS/Fox deal doesn't have the everything else in one ESPN+ place. Nevada@SJSU was on BayArea NBCSports - good luck in Reno.

We are forgetting that these games are being broadcast into outer space and we aren't properly counting the extraterrestrials.

wouldn't Army & Navy #'s mostly come from,
Army-Navy
ND-Navy
AF-Army

Navy was probably on ESPN/ESPN2 at least once last year

Navy-AF is always on network TV

ESPN gets like 2 Navy home games I think. I don't remember which ones last year. I think at least one was ESPN+ only because I signed up for it to watch the game, but that could have been a road game.

Navy in 2022:
Not AAC Inventory, but contributing to total viewers:
Army Navy CBS 6.94 million
at Air Force CBS 1.13 million

On the AAC "Navy tier"
Delaware, Memphis, Tulsa, and Temple at Navy and no Nielsen

On the AAC primary rights deal
Notre Dame at Navy ABC 2.07 million
Houston at Navy ESPNU no number
a Friday night at SMU ESPN 959k
at Cincinnati ESPNU no number
at UCF ESPN2 610k
at ECU ESPN+ no number

That adds up to 9% of AAC conference inventory viewers (when crediting intraconference game viewers to both and increasing the denominator accordingly)

Slanted, since if you are winning or you are in a higher conference you will get more games on better networks with more audiences. If you aren’t on tv then your viewership for that game is entered as zero

Yeah, a lot of it depends on the network you're on, ie., such as ESPN vs ESPNU or even ESPN+ . If ESPN plus is factored in that may skew results a great deal since other conferences may not have that, but only their linear type broadcasts. I don't know how those numbers are arrived at, but speculating. Some of the new AAC members clearly had no TV package exposure to speak of in CUSA so after this season this warrants a revisit.
