Windy City Classic
I don't like the score as it stands right now, but our folks are doing a nice job on the broadcast. Class job.

The loss to UCI, 3-1 stings because Chicago State is good enough to beat them I believe. But the games were extremely close. Still a nice experience to play a quality program in a tight match.

This will be a good team. Both the freshmen are keepers - already.

Chicago State made quick work of Jacksonville State 3-0.

Volleyball is now 4-1 with the 3-0 sweep of Southeast Missouri.

This is a significantly improved team over last season. Granted, our opponents have only a 7-15 record thus far, but they are all D1. Our kids just look sharper this season than they did last year.

Volleyball doesn’t typically play any non D1.

Hartford is on the schedule this year, but mostly as a fluke. They owed Chicago return games from CSU traveling there last season. While those games are nice to have late in the season before the final game versus Florida State, winning them won’t benefit Chicago much, if at all.

In D1 volleyball, you will virtually never see a non D1 opponent, with the exception of a very occasional matchup in a tournament, and even then it’s often a team filling in for a cancellation.
