Everyone expected this. Mass exodus from Kent. UFC is a solid team.

If I was Kent I would have gone full on UMASS and brought in like 20 transfers.

I still feel bad for Kent State. Sean Lewis had some good players there and the program had some success. Then he bolts to leave for a non-head coach job and all their good players transfer.

Is anyone watching the EMU game??? Their numbers are so reflective that when hit by direct sunlight I'm pretty sure they can be seen from space.

CMU was in the game but it's getting away from them now. Their QB is not much of a passing threat.

It has to be concerning for Miami that with a 5th year veteran QB they still can't move the ball.

Saying the CMU QB isn't much of a passing threat is being generous lol. The ball is closer to going end of end than being a spiral when he throws.

So far every MAC team has looked really bad on offense with the exception of WMU, and even they had serious struggles trying to pass, but fortunately for them they were playing St Francis so they just wore them down by running 67 times.

CMU defense really stood up to MSU the first half, surprised by the final score.

Bummer the MAC didn't fare better in the first few games, but sets up NIU to the be the stand out MAC team in week 1 03-wink

RE: Not a good start for the MAC
Of the early MAC OCC games the only one so far that bums me out is the Ohio loss to SD State. Losing Rourke really hurt Ohio, wanted that one against the MW. I guess I also had high hopes Miami Ohio would hang better with Miami. Kent we know is really down so them getting blown out was expected.

MAC can rebound today with a solid NIU win and Toledo knocking out the Illness- or maybe another surprise or two.

Akron lost at Temple 24-21.

But, in the opening minutes of the 3rd quarter, Buffalo is hanging with Wisconsin 14-10.

Looks like Illinois copied NIU's field design with putting the state outline at midfield.

I see that the Toledo QB (Finn) remains a threat with his legs. He also has a gun for an arm. However, he is not a very accurate passer.

Ive been confused by all the Finn buzz. The dude can't pass to save his life. Hell of a scrambler but he is terrible in the pocket
