Biden*s Deterioration Is Apparent To Everyone, But The Left
Biden's Deterioration Is Concerning During Photo-Op With Costa Rican Leader
Quote:I wish I were a fly on the wall in the conversations between the powers that be about what they are going to do with their problem, Joe Biden.
Every day we see him deteriorating more. Yet, the Democrats seem to turn a blind eye to it. Are they trying to leave him in there as long as possible before they pull him as the candidate? But they still have to figure out the problem of Kamala Harris if they intend to have Joe drop out. And they're doing that at the risk to this country, with someone in power who is barely functional.
It was bad on Tuesday. While he didn't have to do much, just deliver remarks from the White House for one event and meet with Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves, it didn't go well.
Biden made some of his typical false remarks about the economy including that "Bidenomics" was just another way of saying "restoring the American dream" when in fact he's made things so difficult just for ordinary Americans to live. He even got an assist in the false remarks from Kamala Harris, who claimed that he had lowered costs for working in families in every way, when, in fact, the opposite is true.
But then he got into some real trouble when he didn't even seem to know what he was saying, and confused Chicago and Toronto.
"A drug company that makes a drug here in America, if it's sold in Chicago, you can buy the same drug in Toronto or Paris cheaper than you can buy it in Toronto!"
Um, what?
He then corrected it to Chicago. He just looked so confused, it made me think again how much this is elder abuse at this point.
Then, Biden stumbled through remarks in a photo-op with Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves Robles. These kinds of photo-ops you usually just say a few pro forma words of welcome or recognition of the other leader but he can't even get through that without reading the whole thing. He looked very old and struggled even with the notes.
You can see the Costa Rican President tapping his fingers as Joe rambles and pursing his lips. I think he gets the problem. And of course, that's an issue when the world sees Biden like this.
After that, the reporters tried to get questions in - including Fox's Peter Doocy - asking about how Biden's campaign is going. But Biden just sat there looking out of it and angry, and you can hear the Biden staff trying to shove them all out of the room, saying, "Thank you [translation: get out]."
He's in this condition after taking most of the month for vacation and meeting with the doctor this week for some unknown reason that they wouldn't clarify. So the vacation isn't helping anymore if it ever did. As I reported earlier, this isn't escaping the eye of the American public -- the first word that they think of when they think of Joe Biden is "senile" (and there are a lot of other not-so-nice words). 77 percent don't think he should be running again. But at least officially, this is the guy the Democrats are putting out there for 2024. That's a truly shameful thing.
New Poll Asks Americans First Word They Think of About Joe Biden, and He Isn't Going to Like It
Quote:It seems like Joe Biden keeps getting worse every day—and the American people are noticing. Whether making things up or just being incoherent, he keeps deteriorating.
He has terrible approval numbers, and the majority have made it clear that they don't think he should be running again.
So you wouldn't expect people to be jumping up and down with glee that, at least at this point, he appears to be running.
But when people were asked for the one word they thought of when they thought of Joe Biden, the response had to be making the Biden team tear their hair out (what's left of it, anyway). The most frequent answer is pretty bad:
Over 25 percent think “old,” “outdated,” “retire,” “elderly,” “aging,” “senile,” and “dementia” when they think about Biden, according to the Associated Press/NORC poll. The second most frequent category, with 15 percent, is just as bad. It has the words “slow,” “confused,” “idiot,” “ignorant,” “sleepy,” “gaffe,” and “bumbling,” according to the poll. "Bad," "terrible," "disappointing," "joke," and profanity" were the third set of words with 13 percent. I was, however, a bit disappointed that "corrupt," "criminal," "crooked," "compromised," "traitor," "con artist," and "puppet" didn't come in a bit higher. That only came in at six percent.
Only about one percent of respondents responded with “smart,” “wise,” or “knowledgeable.”
On top of that, 77 percent thought Biden was too old to govern effectively, and they believed that if Biden won, we'd end up with Kamala Harris in the second term. A doubly good reason to vote for the GOP nominee. Even 69 percent of Democrats thought Biden was too old, which has to spell trouble for him.
One Republican said the word “potato” came to mind when he thinks of Biden, while a Democrat who approves of Biden’s job performance said “senile” pops into his head.
When you're running for the highest office in the land like Biden, those are not good indicators that people think well of you. Those are indicators that could very well do Biden in because they are so bad.
At this point, Democrats—if they're honest—have to be truly wondering if he can hold out against former President Donald Trump or anyone else who might be the Republican nominee. Many polls have Trump close, within the margin of error, or even leading. That can't be good as the powers that be contemplate the upcoming election. So if he stays in, expect them to throw everything up against the wall to try to overcome this huge negative perception in the eyes of the American people.
WATCH: WH Has Bad Answer About Joe Biden's Age and Why He Was With Doctor
Quote:Joe Biden seems to be on a permanent vacation. He's spent almost 40 percent of his time in office on vacation. Even when he's at "work," he often has a very light schedule and calls an "early lid" to the day.
In August, Biden was away for most of the month, and when he did speak, it seemed like he was getting worse, with even more incoherence and confusion, and now more instances where he appears to zone out.
I reported on Tuesday about a new AP/NORC poll that indicates 77 percent of Americans think he's too old for a second term, and even 69 percent of Democrats thought that. The most common responses to what word would describe Joe Biden were “old,” “outdated,” “retire,” “elderly,” “aging,” “senile,” and “dementia.” That's a very bad look, not just for someone running for office but, more importantly, for the guy who is supposed to be running this country.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled about Biden and the poll. AP reporter Chris Megerian asked if the White House has plans to "demonstrate" how Biden is going to do the job and quiet voters' concerns.
Jean-Pierre's response ducked the question, basically repeating his answer to "watch him" if people have any doubts.
"Look, I appreciate the question. I get it often, as you know," Jean-Pierre responded. "What I would say, and I've said this many times and many of my colleagues have said this, the president says this. If you watch him, if you've seen what he's done in the last two years, this is a president who has had a historic administration in just two years."
The problem, of course, is that Americans have been watching him -- that's why they see the problems and that's why they have the questions. But the White House ducking the question isn't doing anything to assure people going forward.
Not only that, but then Megerian asked her about the press spotting Biden going into the Oval Office with his personal physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, shortly before the briefing.
"Is there an appointment? Did he have a health concern?" he asked.
"This is the first time I'm hearing of that," Jean-Pierre said. "Clearly, I did not see that—so I can't speak to that. I just don't know."
Jean-Pierre evading that query raises even more questions. If it had been a scheduled regular check-up or something like that, one would think that she would have known. The fact that she doesn't and professes not to have been told about it raises a lot of questions. And if she does know why and just doesn't want to answer, that's even more problematic. If they can't be straight about why the doctor was there, then you know it's likely because there's a problem, and they don't want to be transparent. Is he receiving any treatment on these vacations? Is the doctor addressing more of these issues that we're seeing? The more they duck it, the more of a problem it becomes.
