Cool MSOC - Ga State 5 UAB 1
Embarrassed in Atlanta by Georgia State. Should have made a coaching change after last season. A sad state of affairs for what was once a great program.

Agreed. It's really hard to recruit when your game plan for half the season is to do everything you can to not get scored on. Marshall was exciting and guys wanted to go there because they played an attacking style. More should be expected of this program.

Even against this weak OOC schedule, I’m not expecting much. Blown out by Ga St and tied with Northern Kentucky. We’re likely gonna get wrecked in AAC play.

This is unacceptable! This program used to be perennially ranked and make the NCAA Tournament.

Tangent but one of their championship players is on the Legion now.

Losing 5-1 is an extremely disappointing result and I hope the program gets back on track soon.

Chicago State 3 - UAB 2, men’s soccer final.

It was 1-1 at the half. UAB took a 2-1 lead at the 72nd minute. Chicago State tied it 4 minutes later. Chicago State scored the winning goal in the 88th minute.

This team is struggling big time. Damn!

Losing to that program is a fireable offense, never mind what this guy has failed to accomplish the last few seasons. Unbelievable.

CSU was 1-13-3 last season. We have some of the best facilities in college soccer and UAB doesn't seem to give a damn. We build facilities and then don't spend the $ to succeed in them. It's baffling and infuriating.

Mark Ingram needs to make a move here.

Considering the amount of coaching turnover in all the Olympic sports at UAB, it's surprising Jeff Kinney has made it this long. I think it's the perfect storm of Ingram having a coach that he hand-picked, is ok with the salary and isn't asking for more money for the program, and is producing so little that no other program wants him.
It's a tragedy what has happened to the program Mike Getman built.

Mike Getman built the program, but it was collapsing before he was let go. I remember the days when SLU would come to town and both UAB and SLU were highly ranked. Seems so long ago now.

Absolutely. The downfall started under his watch no doubt.

Anyone know why the soccer team played at Birmingham Southern today instead of on campus at PNC Field?

The women have improved to 4-2-1, with today’s 1-0 win over Tennessee Tech. UAB is 4-0-1 over the last five matches.
