I expected UTEP to lose to JSU and I expected this to be, at best, a 3 or 4 win team. It isn't any indictment on JSU. Utep just doesn't care about athletics which is why utep is the longest tenured CUSA team and has been left behind many times. JSU had me at Rich Rod.

If you lost to JSU, imagine what SHSU and KSU will do to you. SHSU and KSU have been better than JSU in football over the past 5 years then JSU.

It's hilarious that the greatest achievement of Kennesaw State football's short history is beating John Grass. Great conquers, you are.

We had a pretty good playoff rivalry, a little tit for tat, with Sam Houston I hope will get fired back up. It's pretty easy to dislike that group of asses.

The 14-15 meetings had a bit of extra intensity to them, I’d agree, even for playoff games. Definitely was not pulling for JSU for a few years after those games.

Looking forward to sharing a conference with you for a THIRD time, and hopefully this one lasts quite a bit longer than our previous two stints with each other.

Should be a fun environment for this year’s Thursday night matchup, our home opener in Huntsville. Not expecting to see another 35 point Bearkat win like we did a couple of years ago.

As far as I'm concerned it is. I think there are only 2 or 3 teams we've played more than we've played jsu in football. And it just feels like a bigger game when it's just.

I could very well be wrong, but it looked to me like UTEPs QB checked out of the called play on both 3rd & 4th down at the end based on defensive scheme. The play call may have been to run but the QB may have checked to pass based on the check-down plan he was taught. If that’s the case, situational awareness should be topic1 in the after action review.

Anyone else notice that? Maybe the UTEP coaches addressed it in the presser afterwards…I haven’t heard.

Probably want be another 62-10 beat down by the gamecocks either. But I can only hope.
