Pretty funny that, despite the clear bias of the poll, most people choose more CFB-friendly options.

That's why I'm glad my wife is generally just as happy going to a five-star steakhouse as she is grabbing some wings and a beer at a sports bar (then again, that's part of the reason I married her).

If the two mega conferences break away? They think all the fans of the left behind schools will follow them to watch them, but they will not. Boycott Big 10 and SEC and refuse to watch their games would teach them a lesson.

In case you didn't notice, this "poll" is designed so that whatever you choose you would agree with the OP to some degree or another.

The SWC died and ratings got stronger. The Big East became an organ donor and ratings have gotten stronger.

I'm going go out on a limb and say the B1G and SEC ratings will get stronger after the additions of Texas, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington.

And ratings will only get higher as the top brands consolidate and merge.

The casual fans they pick up will offset the diehards that they lose.

Yep. That's what the networks are counting on.

I watch less. I watch zero B1G games ever, I’ll watch actually compelling SEC games, and then any game that I think will be a first to 50 wins type game.

College basketball interests me more now than college football, being a season ticket holder and all for my local team. It is also much easier to access with ESPN+ and having 3 Division I schools within half an hour of me.

I’ll go to maybe 1 Citadel game a year, but going to Williams-Brice for a South Carolina game just doesn’t interest me as much. Much easier just to watch on TV instead of drive 90 minutes each way, spend three digits for any decent game and have to park half a mile away.

From Charleston going to any South Carolina game is an 7-8 hour investment.

I joke that watching B1G is like watching games from the 70's except in HD.

I still watch too much, but as long as Florida State is around I'm in at least for them. Gotta support Ye Olde Alma Mater. Otherwise, I'll watch some B12 now that UCF is there and a few Penn State games. I do try to flip onto ESPN+ from time to time to catch Cornell and a YouTube channel to catch SUNY Brockport from time to time (but definitely during the D3 Playoffs)

No Coastal games/weekend in Myrtle Beach?

Not a lot of folks care about Coastal in Charleston. Barely top 10 in fan bases.

RE: TV viewing habits
I truck drive so I'm getting more accustomed to just listening to the live radio broadcasts that are free on my phone. I enjoy going to the games a lot when I get the chance. I don't have cable TV, but I will watch games on the free over the air TV as long as the game is within a couple of scores.

Football leagues I am most interested in watching:
Big XII
Mountain West
Big Sky
Missouri Valley
Ohio Valley
SOCON

RE: TV viewing habits
I cancelled cable years ago. Since then I've been using Sling during football season only to be able to watch.

This year... I'm not doing anything. I may watch if I have time and something is on a free stream somewhere, but I am not paying $70 per month for college football this year. It feels weird, but I have just lost a lot of interest now. Still love football, and will still root for teams, but will just check scores after and be done. I'm not wasting 4 hours of my Saturday watching a game.

Now if we were able to get a Pro/Rel type setup going, that would definitely bring my interest back.

The absolute greed of the big Power 5's turns me off. I'd rather watch CUSA, Sun Belt, MWC, AAC, MAC than Power Five. At least those try to be regional.

I know it's a newish program but now they had a couple of great seasons plus more folks going up the coast to school? That being said, it's tough to compete with Clemson and the Cocks.
