Ramaswamy's '10 Truths' Hit the Conservative Bullseye
Quote:Vivek Ramaswamy, the previously little-known 38-year-old multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur who has risen from relative political obscurity to the upper echelons of conservatism and the 2024 race for the Republican presidential nomination, on Thursday revealed his "10 truths" on social media.
The 10 Conservative Commandments? They should be; unshakably so.
As has proven to be his style, Ramaswamy wasn't afraid to wade into the hot-button issues of the radical left, right off the bat, beginning with "God is real," and "There are two genders."
God is real.
There are only two genders.
Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
Reverse racism is racism.
An open border is no border.
Parents determine the education of their children.
The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
Capitalism lifts people from poverty.
There are three branches of government, not four.
The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.
It occurred to me as I typed the above list that Vivek's "10 truths" constitute the foundational beginning of America, and devoid of any one of them, this country would not have become what it became — a country that the Democrat Party continues to try to destroy as we know it — insidiously so, and never-ending.
During a recent event at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California, Ramaswamy shared several details of his upbringing and his concern that the American Dream may not exist for further generations. Incidentally, Vivek was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.
My parents came to this country 40 years ago with no money. In a single generation, I have gone on to found multi-billion dollar companies and did it while marrying my wife, Apoorva, and raising our two sons. That is the American dream, and I am deeply worried that that American dream will not exist for my two sons and their generation.
Ramaswamy's revelations reveal not only hope for all Americans with a dream who are willing to work to achieve their dreams — but also a feeling of despair, given the efforts of the far-left to fundamentally change this country into a wealth-redistributing juggernaut the likes of which the world has never seen.
I'm reminded of a line from the lyrics of "I'd Love to Change the World" by the classic 70s rock band, Ten Years After:
Tax the rich, feed the poor, til there are no rich no more.
The entire Democrat Party was seen vigorously nodding in approval. That is, except for taxing themselves. You know, the Democrat "Rules for thee, but not for me" thing.
Ramaswamy also shared his vision for keeping America strong on a recent Fox News appearance. One of the things that continue to impress me about this guy is his resolve. Politicians make promises, some of which they keep, some of which they have no intention of keeping. (See: "Joe Biden," "Democrat Party.")
In my not-so-humble opinion, Vivek Ramaswamy is the real deal.

...and well spoken. He can get his point across without alienating no one like the Mumbler can't and Trump can't either. So far he can brag about being a kinder kind of politician.

Democrats are asking what "truths" mean.

RE: Ramaswamy's '10 Truths' Hit the Conservative Bullseye
True or not - agree or disagree.....
This guy has no shot at being President (most certainly not in 2024). He (Like Kennedy) are doing their best to cut through the rhetoric, speak their mind and IMO speak to the facts and truth. People do not want to hear that - at least not enough of them anyways. Worse still Congress and the Senate REALLY do not want to hear it because these guys have the potential to disrupt their grift and actually make them have to do their jobs.
I happen to like Kennedy, I do not agree with everything he has to say, but he is at the very least approaching issues with some level of common sense. A quality that is desperately in need right now in Washington.

RE: Ramaswamy's '10 Truths' Hit the Conservative Bullseye
The fact national security isnt addressed in a single one of his top 10 "truths" tells me he is not ready for prime time and is not a serious candidate. He has some incredibly interesting thoughts---but every time the subject moves into the realm of foreign policy and national defense---it becomes painfully clear he is a naive novice who would endanger our nation. I think he has a future---but he needs to learn some things before he runs for president. Maybe be a state rep or spend some time in congress before believing your the one person with all the answers needed to be the chief executive of the US and the leader of the free world. By 2024---we will have been running on auto-pilot with an idiot in office for 4 years. We need the next president to be able to hit the ground running.

Sounds kind of like we have now. I have no idea if he's ready, it's just refreshing to hear logical explanations on various topics, imo.

He didn't become a multimillionaire at his age by luck or by being in government and playing the stocks.
While he maybe a novice at this, I feel like he'd probably hire someone around him that's experienced in that field.

Im not concerned about his ability to learn. Im concerned his current views actually reflect what he would actually do in office. I havent heard him mention a thing about building the military. Ive only heard him say we should give Putin everything he wants in Ukraine. He seems to think total surrender to Putin in Ukraine--and stabbing all our allies in the back (on the heels of doing the same in Afghanistan) would make Putin suddenly love us and repudiate his alliance with China. I think it would do just the opposite. It would teach Putin that his alliance with China scares the US leader so much that he will always back down to Putin regardless of the issue. The China-Russia alliance would never end after you teach Putin how frightened America is when the two nations are allied. Ramaswamy's strategy is so hopelessly childish and naive that it probably prevents me from considering him as a serious candidate.
I question his judgement in the very important arena of national security and foreign policy. That doesnt mean I think he is dumb. Jimmy Carter was a nuclear engineer in the Navy. No question Carter was smart. He was also naive, weak, and terrible when it came to foreign policy. Ramaswamy is correct that its best if we divide China and Russia---but total surrender is not the way to accomplish it. You need to use both the stick and the carrot.

I don't disagree, but we obviously ain't doing much good with it right now with President Daisy being on the CCP payroll and bankrolling a war on both sides either.
Shame on me for not looking further into Vivek's foreign policy.

He seems really bright, but frankly, he is too young and inexperienced. His experience is in a limited sector of the economy. And he just doesn't know what he doesn't know. The last relatively young president we had, JFK, was so busy proving his libido with Marilyn and his other affairs and with Kruschev, that he nearly got us in a nuclear war.

You're free to say that.
Isn't it nice to say that you don't trust or like someone without being hounded..
