Hmmmnnnn.... so that would be:

Coastal
-----
BC
Cuse
Pitt
Louisville
Wake
Duke
GT

Atlantic
-----
UVA
VT
UNC
NCSU
Clemson
FSU
Miami

That would be great in my opinion. Call them the new Coastal and new Atlantic.

“The magnificent” and “the iron clad” divisions.

Take UNC, NC State, VT, FSU, and Miami and the back fill is

1. ECU - A football power with good relations with South Carolina, NC State, UNC, VT, and Miami. Good relations means you can schedule games (yes I know VT and ECU had a falling out) We make fun of ECU in NC because it's academics are not on a par with Duke, UNC, NC State, and WF - duh. But they do have a medical school and the NC General Assembly will have their back.
2. USF - Replaces Florida Schools - academically has it all and a new stadium
3. Tulane - Replaces Gulf Coast School and expands footprint. Then new ACC fan base will like trips to NO and do not have to drag an RV and a Pig Cooker.
4. SMU - Adds Texas footprint - Dallas
5. Rice - Adds Houston - Houston
6. Navy - Add MD to footprint - Everyone loves Annapolis.

7. Perhaps West Va, Delaware, or Villanova, hard to figure this one.

North

BC, Syracuse, Pitt, Navy, West Va, Louisville, ECU

South

UVa, WF, Duke, GT, Tulane, SMU, Rice, USF

What if State is left behind? Would ECU have a chance? I've always known as long as UNC was in the ACC that ECU didn't have a snowballs chance in hell. If State is left behind I've thought we might have a punchers chance.

The conference you made here is essentially every ECU fans dream conference.

FWIW I've always liked the look of Navy and West Point in the ACC for football. I don't know how realistic the idea is. I like the tradition and think the athletes elsewhere would enjoy visiting those campuses.

Say no to Rice.

Put Memphis in their spot.

Otherwise, I like it.

Have to make adjustments for the potential new members.
