RE: Big 12 adding Colorado means nothing for ACC | Wrapping Kickoff media days
I always thought that PAC12 stability was highly important for stability of the ACC. Since Colorado is leaving, it means the other four corner schools will likely follow them to the Big12. And now the Big10 is back in talks with Washington, Oregon, Cal, and Stanford to establish a solid footprint in the west and provide travel partners for USC and UCLA.

Florida State is not happy and wants out because of the money which means others will likely follow. I never thought UNC and Clemson would ever leave the ACC, but it could happen. Oklahoma and Texas bolted from the Big12. USC and UCLA from the PAC 12, and I never thought those moves would happen.

The ACC is next after the PAC12. The buffer is going away. I would be prepared for some changes. The top brands will likely make a move to more money. Throw loyalty out the window. The money is too big to ignore.

What happens to the Pac-12 matters for one reason: there were just 2 possible endgames, either this

Pac-12 / Big Ten / SEC / ACC

or this

Big Ten / Big XII / SEC

There's a very slim chance it could end up like this

Big Ten / Big XII / SEC / ACC

...but I wouldn't count on that outcome!

How about the Big 12 grabbing Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah?

Yeah, that’s it. I’m salty because you’re on the ACC board bragging about your team’s athletic conference adding schools that your team has nothing in common with, nor do they have anything in common with the ACC.

Yep. Some nice pro-rata additions in the MTZ that lower your team's chances to ever win the league even more. Congrats? Poor Wes.

I actually applauded the Arizona add until I looked up the fact they haven't made a Final 4 in over 20 years. Might has well have added UNLV.

But seriously, how have all of the Arizona, ASU, and Utah fans on the board reacted?

Poor guy, it really bothers you that Cincinnati fans aren't trying to get into the ACC anymore. You'll be fine, we definitely are! 02-13-bananaCOGS

Actually, I would have been relieved since Cincinnati got into the hoedown and all, but they never left here!

We really hurt your feelings huh? Good! And no you weren't relieved that UC got into another P5, for the last few months you came up with ideas that included adding Cincinnati, West Virginia, UCF as well as raiding the Big 12 in a desperate attempt to stop the Big 12 from passing the ACC in prominence (In your mind). And I and others had to tell you that the Big 12 signed a grant of rights and that just seemed to make you angrier. Then you seemed to visit your own hoedown and love it. And apparently project that love onto others. Anyway I'm not going to continue a senseless "argument" with you in this thread. Later!

Projecting? Well it’s been obvious you’ve done that from the beginning and have also been misrepresenting my viewpoints.

I don’t ever remember including UCF and Cincinnati in some scenario, in fact I’ve always been of the mind those schools did not bring enough value to the ACC to warrant expansion.

WVU was actually studied and my thinking is if it is worth expanding with them then reach out before the Big XII has to renegotiate. There is absolutely no guarantee the Big XII will get a better deal considering all four recent additions are pro-rata. Do you know what that means?

You really are obsessed with winning meaningless arguments aren't you? Lol. Don't worry about Cincinnati and the Big 12 schools, we are beyond fine. We have moved on from the ACC so you can stop with the "we are to good for you" nonsense because it looks pretty dumb right now when UCF and Cincinnati are in a better spot.

I didn’t say the ACC was too good for those schools, ESPN made it pretty clear. I’m sure Cincinnati is a fine school and I support Wes Miller. Louisville was just way ahead when it was time to replace Maryland.
