Why is anyone surprised? We have a new roster and we stunk last year. If we finish where they predicted us to finish, Quarles should be looking for a job.

Of course, based on last year - but that was enough in itself to fire Quarles. He destroyed a program that was on the move. You don’t revive football and allow it to be in the same place it was twenty years ago. What should be the minimum for the 2023 season for Quarles to be retained?

Last year Doc had to address the basketball situation and he corrected it. He will be watching closely this Fall. The first game is an FBS game and is expected to not be close. I would watch the second game and if it is even somewhat close then Doc Sander will know what to do.

I think anything south of "being in contention" for a regular season title is considered another lost season. Typically that comes down to the last conference game of the season. If that game is meaningful, i will consider it a success.
