I think the end result will be the BIGXII adding Colorado, Arizona, Washington, and Oregon.

We know the PAC already has SDSU and SMU lined up. The rest is up in the air.

Wouldn’t you think the AFA would be in play for the Pac moreso than the AAC? National brand on the athletic side, service academy on the academic side. Located in the same state as the reportedly imminently departing member. It’s not exactly replacing USC, UCLA, and Colorado, but adding Air Force to the SMU/SDSU thing with Tulane on deck would be a play.

You make a lot of sense and that would be my play if I was the PAC, but I keep seeing UNLV and Colorado States names being throw around to go with SDSU and SMU.

I love the SBC and I love that we don't have to worry about our conference. We can just sit back and watch it all unfold. Regardless of what happens with the other conferences, we will climb the ladder another notch because the MWC is likely to take a serious hit.

What I don't want to see is it strengthen the AAC. You have to wonder what schools like AFA, Boise State, and Fresno State will be thinking. We don't need the best of rest of the MWC merging with the AAC.

Then again, the SBC is rising on its own. We don't have to have anyone get "weakened" to take the top G5 spot. That's well within our reach right now.

So some combination of Stanford/Washington/Oregon/Cal joins the Ten and everybody else slides into the 12 in this scenario?

Well this means Memphis, SMU, USF, and Tulane aren’t joining the Big 12. Unless the ACC gets real desperate they’re staying put. Sun Belt might could poach one of these schools one day when the TV contracts reach parity.

PAC-probably adds 2 and just becomes PAC-10 for 5 years or so until eventually the B1G chooses to add UW/UO/Cal/Stanford at partial shares.

Reading the different boards are always a treat. It's all about perspective...

Only if ESPN knocks on the AAC's door, holding their contract up to the doorbell cam with a lighter underneath it.

Who knows what shoe drops next, but it seems more likely that Washington and Oregon join the BigG. Both of those schools are AAU institutions, and would complete/balance the BigG’s West Coast raid of USC and UCLA.

It’s more likely the Big12 goes after Utah, Arizona and Arizona St.

I admire the spirit, but I felt the same way every time CUSA changed. It was always this time with these teams our potential will finally come through. But, then after realizing how many good teams had gone through CUSA gotten worse while in CUSA and then improved after leaving CUSA, I don't think it's any doubt that conference leadership is the problem. A winning culture starts at the top.

Yep. The CUSA fan who posted that is clearly delusional.

The B10 doesn't have a pro-rata clause in their media deal. Which means everyone in the league would have to vote to take a paycut in their shares to bring them in. I do think you are correct in the fact that Oregon and Washington will eventually be in the BIG10 but that will probably be down the road when the ACC gets raided after their grant of rights are up in 2035ish?

Oregon and Washington will take the life raft out of the PAC for now. It puts them on solid ground for the next decade and then they can reevaluate when the next round of BIG10 and SEC expansion occurs durning the next media cycle.

That's just my guess based off of a gut feeling. Colorado, Arizona, Washington, and Oregon to the BIGXII. Then the PAC backfills with MWC and AAC teams.

Then it becomes a game of what do the MWC and AAC conferences do? Who do they backfill with? We already know the SBC teams aren't going anywhere.
